Batman and Frankenstein #31

How come you assholes didn't support Frankenstein's book? Well, now that he's in a Batman book, you're probably buying it. Jerks.

Batman might not actually be searching for Robin's body right now. He's adventured with a water breathing fish king from Atlantis, an Amazonian of legend and daughter of the God Zeus, and now a fictional reanimated corpse. I think he's strapped to a bed and thrashing about raving like some of Gotham's most famous residents, being pumped full of anti-psychotics which obviously aren't working at all because his bloodstream is full of anti-Scarecrow drugs. So he's gone around the bend and imagining he's having adventures with a bunch of seriously unbelievable characters.

Batman sure is careless in his hallucinations. Unless maybe the dog is driving.

I wonder why Titus didn't make an appearance in Batman Loves Wonder Woman #30. Are dogs not allowed on Paradise Island? Maybe that's how the island got it's name! Because there are no fucking dogs on it!

That last pair of sentences make a subtle anti-male comment! I thought I'd mention it because I don't want to be one of those pretentious writers who couch all of their most important messages in subtext and allegory. All of my shit should read like Everyman. If some character is going to represent Death or Charity or Hatred of Men, that character will be named Death or Charity or Hatred of Men!

Batman and Titus almost run over two Chinese fishermen because they're traveling to Nanda Parbat. Little does Batman know, Nanda Parbat has Nanda Pargone. If you're a first time reader, that's about as clever as I get! If that wasn't good enough for you, you should probably go watch Two and a Half Men. Also, fuck you.

Oh! I probably should have made a Nanda Parbatman joke of some sort! Shoot! Missed opportunity!

It's like I have no idea what "editing" is!

Batman isn't as good at all the stuff I'm used to him being good at because a five hundred pound, eight foot tall living corpse sneaks up on him in the snow.

Down, Titus! Down! You're going to get sick if you eat that!

Frankenstein bullies an apology out of Batman but even when Batman is faced with dismemberment at the hands of a fictional character, he still takes a full panel beat before apologizing. What a cocky bastard! He was probably thinking through his options during the silent panel and finally figured that apologizing would be the best way for Frankenstein to live through this encounter.

As Batman and Frankenstein catch each other up on what they've been doing, all I can think about is who will be next month's guest star! It's such an exciting feeling, this not knowing! I bet it will be Batman and Ra's al Ghul. They'll probably have a rational discussion over what to do with Damian's body as Batman tries to escape from whatever death trap Ra's has death trapped him in.

Because Batman insists that he only wants Damian back so that he can rebury him, Frankenstein decides to help Batman find al Ghul.

Speaking of al Ghul, I need to pick up The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night again and continue reading it. Why can't I finish anything longer than a twenty page comic book anymore? I think it's because I know my time is limited! Stupid mortality!

Batman agrees with me!

Frankenstein is interrupted because he and Batman are attacked by an Impossibility of Yetis. They're probably hungry because they haven't been fed since Nanda Parbat disappeared. They're also angry because they've just gotten their asses kicked by Ra's al Ghul and his Man-bats. Batman, being the smartest detective this side of Smallville, realizes the Yeti are just protecting themselves and that they could really use a Snickers bar. So he surrenders to them and makes friends. Now he has an army of Yetis to battle Ra's's army of Man-bats!

Batman doesn't realize that "grahh" is the most insulting word in the Yeti's language for "human."

Batman, Frankenstein, and the Yetis travel down into the mountain where another of Ra's al Ghul's secret Lazarus Pits is located. But when they open the door to stop al Ghul, Batman says, "No...I'm too late." And then the comic book ends. So maybe next issue will actually be Batman and Robin again!

Batman and Frankenstein #31 Rating: No change. Frankenstein didn't really get to do much this month. But at least he and Batman did clear up that business with Batman chopping Frank into pieces. It's good to see these kids getting along once more. The book also could have used more Titus.

Batwoman #31

Wolf Spider has been distracted by the Batman symbol fluttering around his shoulder.

I don't remember exactly where the story left off last issue because there was an annual published between this issue and issue #30. That means I just reread my commentary on the annual which had nothing to do with this story but had everything to do with a story that finished seven months ago. I'm fairly certain the cover explains everything you need to know. Batwoman is tracking Wolf Spider so that she can begin to beat the crap out of him, realize it's her high school friend, convince him he's being an idiot so that he'll turn on the guy he's working for, and then they'll team up to defeat Old Man Grantham as he searches for the Treasure of Eisenstadt!

But first, thirty six hours ago some shit went down at the court house that the reader needs to be made aware of! It'll probably be important later! As a Master Comic Book Reader, I can easily pick out when a subplot is developing! Don't be upset if you missed it. You'll get the hang of things soon enough! Just remember that Batman always wins and you're already 98% of the way to understanding DC Comics.

Come on! How can you accuse a woman whose name means "midnight" in German of being Nocturna? Ridiculous!

Also happening at the court house, Kate Kane is using her money to fuck other people with less money. An attorney specializing in gay custodial issues has a full work load and he can't take Maggie's case. He even tells Kate that she does not want an overworked, distracted attorney. Which also means his other clients don't want that. But she convinces him to possibly take the case by throwing tons of money at him and his favorite charity. So now he's either got to dump one of his other cases or make a bunch of distracted errors on all of his cases! Good job, Jerko Kane!

That battle that I mentioned earlier is about to take place, so I need to get back to the comic book and see if I correctly guessed the outcome! It'll either go fairly close to the way I guessed or Batwoman will get killed. One of those!

During the battle, Wolf Spider uses a bunch of Marvel's trademarked sound effects like SNKT! and FWIP! I hope DC has a great gay trademark attorney on retainer. Also, the battle doesn't go anywhere near like I expected it to! Although Batwoman does ask Wolf Spider to help her at one point! That's as close as it gets to my guess. Fuck, I suck at reading comic books! I'm horrible! The worst ever! I should just quit!

Apparently Eisenstadt's treasure was just a bunch of clove-flavoured Necco Wafers.

Wolf Spider figures he doesn't need hundreds of old timey candies, so he tosses them in Slaughter Swamp where they react like Mentos in Diet Coke. Maybe. Maybe they just wind up waking up Solomon Grundy.

After he visits the swamp, Wolf Spider runs into Kate but in the guise of Evan. There's a shot of his shoe in both instances so that the dumber readers like me, the worst comic book reader ever to turn a page, get the hint. Unless they're really popular shoes in Gotham!

The issue ends with Kate having another appointment with the therapist that she decided was a homophobic, sexist, rapist, child molesting, dog fucking asshole. I suppose that describes most therapists though, so why not give him another go?

Batwoman #31 Rating: No change. Now that this story line is over, I can assess the series since Andreyko and Haun took over! And my assessment is a mediocre, "It's decent enough." If you like following the adventures of Batwoman, it's definitely worth reading. If you couldn't stop coming in your underwear over Blackman and Williams, this probably isn't your cup of orgasms. If Blackman and Williams run was the Mona Lisa, Andreyko and Haun's run is a drunk guy talking about the Mona Lisa's tits. It's entertaining but it might not be for everybody.

Pandora #11

Vandal Savage is going to be in this comic book and he didn't make the cover? I guess DC doesn't want to sell very many issues.

Hey Pandora! Are you completely embarrassed about how shitty your story has become? You were like the biggest big deal in The New 52 before this shit even began! You were all making cameo's in Flashpoint when the worlds merged and shit. People were all, "Whoa! Who the fuck is that woman?! What does she have to do with DC fucking up their shit?" And then you made an appearance in every single first issue of The New 52. All the fans were ruining their underwear with sexual juices of the female and male kinds (you know the kinds! The sexy kinds that happen for sex!) and screaming on the internet, "Who is this mysterious person?! What does she have to do with anything?!" Unless they weren't. It's probable that everybody already knew from the solicits and the big mouths at DC that it was Pandora and that she would be an integral part of Flashpoint and The New 52.

But where are you now, Pandora? Is your skull still going to be valuable?! Are you going to fix it and open it again and create the third weekly comic book, Multiversity? I'm not sure anybody else really cares what you do next. DC squandered your potential. They obviously decided the Trinity War wasn't going to work very well and opted for Forever Evil instead. It was a real amateur card trick they pulled there! A real magic boner!

Can you imagine a magic boner? It would be all twinkly and pigeons would fly out of it and then it would disappear only to reappear in a magic consensual vagina!

Last issue, Pandora got beat down hardcore by Giganta. It was thoroughly as entertaining as it sounds and possibly more so. This issue, hopefully she gets beat down hardercore by Vandal Savage. And hopefully it's thoroughlyier more entertaining than that sounds.

It looks like Agent Kincaid wants to do some beating down of her own. Hopefully she doesn't accidentally hit Vandal Savage!

SHADE doesn't want to kill Pandora anymore. I don't know why they wanted to kill her in the first place. I suppose they bought into the same hype that Agent Kincaid has recently purchased. She believes Pandora is the "mother of all evil" and that Forever Evil was her fault. I don't think it's right to continue blaming her for finding the Crime Syndicate's Portal Remote Control and accidentally pressing the open button. If it wasn't her, it would have been the next idiot to come along. Although she still might be to blame for Flashpoint and The New 52, so I suppose she should be killed just for that. Even if the evidence is entirely circumstantial and The Flash may be just as much at fault as Pandora. The amount of people who are still upset by The New 52 probably means somebody should be punished even if it's the wrong person. And if the person punished isn't Dan DiDio then it's almost certainly the wrong person.

This is the romantic part. It takes place after the action part and before the grim death match part. According to Hollywood, it is a necessary evil to keep females engaged in the plot.

After the romantic part, all hell breaks loose as Pandora is shot by the God Killer Gun and Vandal Savage tears into the parking lot in an ambulance and forgets how to open the door. It's always more exciting when doors, walls, and windows are abused by the characters.

What's the matter, Marcus Aurelius? No last words of wisdom?

Pandora battles Kincaid who turns out to be a Werecrow because SHADE Agents are all kinds of monsters. Kincaid is no match for Pandora in hand to hand combat but it doesn't really matter because Pandora's ability to regenerate has been neutralized by the God Killer Gun. That'll make Vandal Savage's job a bit easier.

Pandora previously told Kincaid she could cure her Werecrowism if Kincaid wanted and Kincaid responded, "Do I look like I want to be cured?" But Kincaid doesn't offer Pandora the same choice. Who's the real monster here, hunh? Oh yeah! It's probably the Werecrow.

And this is when Vandal Savage arrives for the beat downings. But it'll have to wait until next issue, dammit.

Pandora #11 Rating: -1 Ranking. That ranking is for the art. It looked fucking sloppy and flat this issue. Pandora's trenchcoat costume didn't even look like it's the best outfit in the DC Universe this issue. So disappointed.

Harley Quinn #6

Reading and writing about comic books is cutting into my sitting around and doing nothing time.

I'm going to start advertising on my site. The way it will work is people will send me money and I will mention their blog in my commentaries. I will say really good things about them if they give me lots of money and really bad things about them if they don't give me much money at all. But I won't say how much is enough to not get shit upon! Anyway, I've heard that all publicity is good publicity. The first site that I'm advertising, on faith that they'll pay up, is random.org!

Have you ever wanted a truly random number and decided to use your computer because you aren't a huge nerd with a Crown Royal bag full of variously shaped dice? Well then you have been fucking yourself right in the face because most computers can only create pseudo-random sequences of numbers as opposed to truly random sequences of numbers. This is something that you may have never known and would never fucking affect your life ever. But it has been a major consternation to me ever since I was programming on my Vic-20. How come computers can do every fucking thing in the world but they can't duplicate the true randomness of a low quality (although still well balanced!), piece of shit, plastic polyhedron? Fucking computers suck!

But wait! Before you throw your computer into the garbage sack, I've found the answer to the problem you never would have known you've been having! Random.org! They've cooked up some ancient Egyptian Druidic Voodoo or some shit with chicken blood and mummy curses and living trees and shit to divine the secret of true random numbers using modern technology! Or maybe they learned it from aliens! Although those other groups I just mentioned got all their secrets from aliens as well, so it's two bits of one and three dimes of the other. Or five dimes. Whatever! Random.org doesn't help with actual word problems! They just do perfectly random numbers! Maybe! Anyway, it's the closest you're going to get! So get out there and randomize those numbers!

This is where I'd put up a link to send me money for the advertising except I didn't think the whole process through very well. Fuck it. Time to read Harley Quinn #6!

Last issue ended with an explosion at Ivana Brekemoff's place. This issue begins with everybody escaping the explosion.

I'm going on record saying that this is the most realistic comic book drawing of three people trying to hang on to each other that has ever been put to paper. It also makes my face feel warm and cozy.

Harley lets Ivana drop because killing her was the entire reason they endured the explosion and the edge of the seat of the pants on the face escape!

Next on Harley and Sy's list of elderly communists to kill: The Bear! He lives at the zoo so that's the next place they need to break into.

I think Sy is bragging about how he didn't complain when Harley's butthole was practically in his mouth.

Harley and Sy fail to kill The Bear because one of the bears kills The Bear. But not before The Bear warns some of the other old time communists that Syborg was on their trail. A bunch of them arrive at the zoo to make Harley's job even easier than it has been.

Harley's killing spree has been so easy (and looks so good) that I can't find anything to bitch about. Is it too late to pretend I'm angry about Harley's change of costume? Maybe I can be angry that they changed her accent! Except the text has just enough of her accent to know that's probably not true. And even if it were, my head reads all of her dialogue in her cartoon voice anyway.

Sy kills two more of the Russians with bagel grenades that explode with this sound effect: KO-SHERRR!

Oh! I can complain about that! One of the things I like about this comic book is the high level of cartoon violence. People are forever getting killed and seriously hurt but in ways that don't make the reader cringe because they're on the level of a safe falling on Wile E. Coyote's head. But using Bagel Grenades that explode in a KO-SHERRR bang? That's pushing the cartoon limits too far! And too Jewish!

More discussions involving butts. Oh, and some more violence!

The last Russian left (at least of the Russians that were in the files. I think there is still one more secret one!) is Zena Bendemova. Which means she's the Russian Spy that Sy probably slept with while on his secret agent mission. Hell, maybe he slept with all of them. Isn't that what spies do? Kill and seduce? Mostly not in that order.

This time the killing comes after the kissing but before the fucking. I wonder if Syborg has a cypenis? We won't find out yet because Zena winds up impaled on a rhinoceros horn. Don't be disgusting! It goes through her heart, you sicko perv.

And finally it's off to kill the last member of the Russian gang. I have a feeling this one will be Sy's real lover! Zena may have broken Sy's heart but the last Russian destroyed Sy's soul.

Nope. It's just some guy that sold Sy a junk car forty years ago. Sad trombone noise.

Harley returns home in the morning after saying her goodbyes to her new friend Sy Borgman to find a surprise waiting for her. Is it really a surprise that she finds a surprise waiting for her on the last page? That's actually kind of an expectation, right? Anyway, this is the surprise:

Harley's beaver! And Poison Ivy too!

Harley Quinn #6 Rating: No change. It's whimsical and I like whimsical but it's not quite hitting the right notes for me. I like that Poison Ivy is back and now that I've heard Birds of Prey is cancelled, I think these two need to start the next incarnation of the Birds of Prey. Sure, they don't have a bird themed anything going for them. But I think an amoral group of kind of bad guy women pissed off at some evil organization would make for a fun Birds of Prey book. I think Cheetah and Strix could join the team as well as Punch and Jewelee. Punch could be their token male. He'd be much better than Condor!

Doop #2

Remember when Faster Shadowcat sang about internet dating in the days before the internet?

Last issue, Doop was rejected by Kitty Pryde. She tried to let him down easy and tell him that it wouldn't work because he couldn't speak English. But that backfired in her face because Doop reconfigured himself so he could speak English. Now, judging by this cover, she's going to have to kill him.

Can Doop be killed?

Kitty follows Doop into Doopspace where she continues to tell him that they aren't going to hit it off. Especially when Doop takes her to eat at a place called Chateau du Armpit Hair. What is Doop's obsession with armpits? Is it because of that joke about the guy on the bus asking the woman holding the handrail how she got her leg way up there?

Doop also takes Kitty to watch a blank movie screen at the Cinema of Emptiness. Then they go dancing and then out for a little target practice at the Sentinel Shooting Range. And finally, he shows Kitty some of the home movies he's been filming across time.

Hey DC Comics? Are you listening to Doop here? He has some important advice!

Doop finally removes Kitty from Doopspace so she can get back to her time travel problems in the real world. Doop wants her to say "fuck it" to time travel paradoxes and let Jean and Scott remain in the future. But Kitty's having a tough time dealing with Marvel's slacker attitude on time travel and its consequences. It's like they believe that a fictional world shouldn't suffer any consequences from time travel! The nerve of them!

But Doop's talk with Kitty seems to change her stance on the whole issue of sending Jean and Scott back. Or something. It gets a little confusing. Especially when Doop takes a trip to the future to check in on future Kitty Pryde that turns out not to be future Kitty Pryde but some kind of Mystique/Nightcrawler/Wolverine/Punisher mash-up.

Can Doop be killed?

I'm already thoroughly confused!

I thought I could follow this decently enough without reading a bunch of the other X-men comic books but I may have been wrong! Even though I like Milligan and Doop, I might have to drop this book if I continue to feel confused after a few more issues.

Sinestro #2

Shouldn't Sinestro's emblem be the "O" in his name? This just looks like Sinestroo.

I guess none of the other Green Lantern books were taking themselves too seriously, so this comic book had to hit the shelves.

Forget about Sinestro for a moment. I'm thoroughly bored with Sinestro. Ten year old me would have stood aghast at that statement. But then ten year old me lived for seeing what constructs Sinestro was going to create while battling Green Lantern. Ten year old me would never have screamed at the television, "Just make a stupid yellow gun with yellow bullets, you dumb douchebag!" He would only think that internally so his grandmother wouldn't wash his mouth out with Summer's Eve.

I was just looking at my web server statistics and decided this would be a good place to talk about them because advertisers love to read about Sinestro! So here's where I'll point out how my site gets over 6000 unique visitors every day. The daily amount of data transferred via my site hits two gigs per day. I'm glad I've got a hosting service that gives me unlimited data transference! Otherwise Pickle Boy would be getting a huge bill on his credit card! He'd probably just assume it was due to his porn habit. Anyway, the bad part about all of that data transferred is that nearly a third of those visiting are simply people finding my site via Google using ridiculous search terms. So yesterday, somebody came to my site after searching for "i forgot to get married and have kids". How the fuck is Google supposed to help you with that? How the fuck am I supposed to help you with that?! I purposefully remembered not to get married and not to have kids!

Other fabulous search terms used to find Eee! Tess Ate Chai Tea (which, I know, talking about weird search terms just leads to more people finding the site via those weird search terms. But come on! They're too entertaining not to list them!): "nightwing torture time", "fish farm justice", "did lots daughters conceive", "lucifer demonic foot", "scarecrow penis" (totally understandable), "child sacrifices abortions", "red gay asshole", and "sexualizing childhood". Those are just a few of the stranger ones. I left out all of the searches that were basically "X fucking Y".

This issue begins with Sinestro blah blah blahing about his own greatness all over the place in Narration Box after Narration Box. It might as well be page after page of him masturbating into his own face and then gobbling up his ejaculate as if it were the most succulent sauce created in a royal kitchen by the most decadent of chefs.

Was this supposed to be the reason for all the Corps? To enforce justice through fear or anger or selfishness or willpower or hope or compassion or love? Hmm, willpower doesn't really fit in with those others, does it? I think Geoff Johns spectrum of emotion falls apart at the source.

So Sinestro easily takes back leadership of the Sinestro Corps and rescues his daughter from Arkillo and the other renegade Yellow Lanterns. I guess after Soranik has a nice talk with her father that will probably not end in hugs, she might be convinced to hang around while the Sinestro Corps begin hunting for the lost Korugarians and The Paling.

See? Cullen Bunn nicely ties all of his plot points together in one boring and predictable page.

Sinestro puts together a team of the Sinestro Corps members that least trust him so he can go out on a mission with them and teach them that he's their fucking leader. Just like most Lantern Teams, this one consists of a bunch of creatures that the artist was allowed to make up without any consideration as to how stupid and ill conceived they've made their body functionality. So one member is a head on a hand. Another member is a gigantic tumor with arms. Another member is a mass of six people merged after a teleportation accident. Or something. And another member is a flaming skeleton. I guess it doesn't really matter since Sinestro is probably taking them out to kill most of them and then threaten the rest into submission.

Sinestro has brought them out to Necropolis in Sector 3567. It's a prison planet that hasn't had any new prisoners in many years. So he's going to kill them all and turn the planet into the new Korugar. The planet has a small moon where the wardens lived which will become Sinestro Corps headquarters. That totally makes sense. The moon is probably a luxurious spa while the prison planet is covered in concrete buildings without any plant life anywhere. Fuck the Korugarians! They don't deserve a nice new homeworld since they let their old homeworld blow up. Irresponsible jerks.

Aaaaaand there it is.

Sinestro #2 Rating: No change. Yeah, yeah. Sinestro is a bad ass. I just wish he were funnier.

Justice League of America #14

I guess this takes place on an Earth where America formed with twenty three original colonies.

Justice League of America has been the worst incarnation of any Justice League ever. At least that I've read. And I haven't actually read that many. But even if I can't rightly compare it to many past incarnations, basing it on its own merit, it was still awful. Mostly it was terrible because it was just an extension of Trinity War (which went nowhere and merely became a prologue for Forever Evil) and then it took a hiatus during Forever Evil where it told an imaginary adventure starring Stargirl and Martian Manhunter. Way to suck at planning comic books, DC.

I understand that comic book companies like to tie books together so readers feel they need to read the tie-in books and mini-series and other books tied in to those mini-series. But here's a little secret, DC: if you make the characters of a comic book interesting and get the reader emotionally involved with them and their story, they'll want to pick up other books where the characters appear. You don't need to ruin the main book simply because the characters are involved in some other story arc. Justice League of America should have just told stories about the Justice League of America that happened before the Crime Syndicate came to Earth instead of the bullshit story of Stargirl remembering that her parents loved her. Save that shit for the Stargirl mini-series.

I suppose JLA really was just a vehicle to highlight Stargirl anyway. Most of the stories revolved around her and how she was sidelined but she was too perky and eager to remain sidelined so she stepped up to help save the day. And then more of that. And still more of that. With a heaping helping of more of that. And now it looks like the final issue will be about Stargirl!

Stargirl says "literally" too much. And incorrectly. And when it isn't needed. Which it almost always isn't needed.

Apparently Steve Trevor's Justice League of America is being blamed for Earth being invaded by the Crime Syndicate. For some reason. Probably because they tied themselves so closely to the government of the United States and fuck the government of the United States. Amirite?! But mostly nobody gets to know exactly why the Justice League of America is taking responsibility because that shit is classified.

This issue is simply about how everybody went their separate ways. I guess. Whatever. Fuck this comic book! It was never allowed to tell a story! This was simply a place characters went to when they failed elsewhere! Nobody was interested in J'onn on Stormwatch, so he wound up in JLA. Hawkman's comic book was the shit that shit shits out of it, so he wound up on the JLA. Katana had the stink of Ann Nocenti's failure all over her, so she wound up in JLA. Nobody could figure out what the fuck to do with Simon Baz after Johns created him for no good fucking reason, so he wound up in JLA. Green Arrow had the stink of Ann Nocenti's failure all over him, so he wound up in the JLA. Vibe was never interesting ever, so he wound up on the JLA. Catwoman had the stink of Ann Nocenti's failure all over her, so she...oh wait. I already said that. Anyway, the Justice League of America was simply a holding place for characters DC didn't want to disappear from reader's minds. None of the characters (except for maybe Stargirl!) ever had a moment to develop since the plot was mostly about setting up Trinity War. Speaking of Trinity War, it was an idea that got flushed somewhere along the line and replaced by Forever Evil which is why Trinity War wound up in JLA!

"Thank you! Normally I wouldn't go near a brown man in a mask but since you save my child, I guess I'm grateful! And...oh my! Is that a gun in your leotards or are you...oh no. It's a gun. POLICE! HELP!"

Does Simon Baz still carry a gun around with him? That was my favorite thing about him! Fuck trusting some glitchy ring that needs to be shoved in a railroad lantern once per day. At least bullets don't lose power while you're sleeping.

I forgot to mention that Catwoman went back to being Catwoman or something. Anyway, on to what's happening in Green Arrow's life next!

The universe sighs a breath of relief! Green Arrow has been confined to Earth! Um. What?

She said "Arrow" not "Lantern" you idiot! I don't think Steve Trevor properly took care of his head wound after his battle with Grid.

Katana is busy with Outsiders stuff. She'll probably be back when the super hero Outsiders team reforms. I'm sure that'll happen during the Futures End nonsense. Hopefully Halo will turn up around then.

Currently, J'onn is tearing ARGUS Headquarters apart looking for Waller. Which means Waller must have wanted ARGUS's headquarters torn apart by J'onn since she knew he'd eventually get to her anyway. She must be up to something! It looks like ARGUS (and thus the JLA by association) were blamed for the whole Crime Syndicate Invasion thing and Waller once again wound up as the scapegoat. That's probably why she wanted the place destroyed. Just tear the whole fucking thing down and slink away unnoticed.

Stargirl is learning about her ex-teammates because she still wants to put a team together. But Trevor tells her how the government crippled him and that she should think outside of the box. So a light bulb appears over her head and she whispers, "Canada!" Because their government is powerless! Ha ha! Man, it must be nice to live in a country with no desire for power! Since all politicians are corrupt, it would be nice to have politicians that kept their corruption within their own borders! I think growing up in the cold causes you to develop an insulated outlook on the world!

J'onn finally catches up with Courtney and they agree to begin a new team which has already begun in Justice League United because this comic book was so fucking late.

Justice League of America #14 Rating: Good riddance. Hey DC? Can you stop publishing comic books just to take them out at the knees and keep them from going anywhere, leaving them to bleed out, helpless and struggling and pleading for their lives? Can you? No? Enh, fuck you anyway.
