Worlds' Finest #32

Superman couldn't save the woman that poses for all the pictures on hair salon windows.

This issue begins with Lois Lane sullying her reputation as the greatest journalist to ever live by admitting that she used to make shit up and report it as if it were true.

Any journalist who believes this is true can go fuck themselves.

Now I don't mind if a journalist speculates in an article as long as they announce when they're speculating. But to report on their speculation as if it is the truth is unethical and harmful. And the fact that Lois is justifying it just makes me hate her more. I bet Lois never wanted people to know that she would make up parts of the stories she reported on but now that she has a robot brain, she can't help but tell the truth. I'm so disappointed in Lois Lane right now. Luckily it's just New 52 Earth-2 Lois Lane! I bet on Earth-2, Vicki Vale wins all the Pulitzers.

Lois Lane brings Wonder Woman into the story and instead of mentioning Diana's history or her abilities or how she'd like future generations to remember her, she just explains how Superman felt about her. "Oh, she was hot and shit but so old! And I couldn't have sex with her! She was barely even human! I mean, sure, I'm less human than she is. But I feel more human than I believe she is! So that's a thing, right?"

Batman and Wonder Woman are busy forging a sword out of kryptonite. Is that possible? I always thought kryptonite was just rock not some kind of metallic ore. Wasn't kryptonite just unsold Pet Rocks painted green?

Batman believes the gods of Apokolips must be Kryptonians since they're the only aliens to have ever visited Earth. Since he's obviously wrong, he must lose the sword in the coming battle. I hope it pops up in Lex Luthor's possession over on Earth-New-Earth in the future.

Appearing on the local news is not your fifteen minutes of fame. Nor is it your fourteen minutes of fame! Or thirteen, even! It's possibly negative fame! Seriously! Stop encouraging local news reporters! If you get excited about being on their stupid news program, just imagine how fucking important they must think they are! They're fucking loser nobodies who talk over internet cat videos while saying, "Look at that!" and "Watch this part!" and "Did you see that?" We know how to look at things with our eyes, assholes.

This jerk stabs Lois in the chest with a letter opener and I feel a little bit guilty. I know she's a lousy television news reporter but I didn't mean for you to kill her, weirdo!

While Lois bleeds out, Batman and Wonder Woman battle Intri of Apokolips in the Batcave and Superman races back to Metropolis to look failure square in the eye.

I guess the kryptonite sword worked. It's a wonder metal! Er, rock? Substance!

Superman makes it to Lois's side in time for her last living, non-robotic memory to be him holding her. Intri's last memory is exploding in the Batcave thinking that at least she's dying in beautiful heels.

Then there's an epilogue that mentions Neil Gaiman's Death and some other less important stuff. And then it's over forever.

Worlds' Finest #32 Rating: No change. DC Comics really fucked up by taking this series away from Power Girl and The Huntress. At least then, it was about something and it was entertaining and it showcased a great friendship. The series since then has just been another Earth-2/World's End footnote. It was completely unnecessary. And Power Girl and The Huntress were just thrown into the thick of World's End and Earth-2 where they just became minor characters in a story that had no tension. The ending was already predetermined and the book had enough characters already. What a fiasco. I have yet to drop any of DC Comics regular titles but I probably should have dropped this one as soon as the dropped Power Girl and The Huntress from the cover.

Worlds' Finest #28

Doesn't this title already exist? Batman Loves Superman? I'm confused. Why was this needed?

I think this is going to be a cross between a Horatio Alger story and an adolescent male porn fantasy. I don't care how scary the shadowy person approaching them is. If I were young Bruce or Dick, that's not what I'd be looking at. Judging by the way Wonder Woman's skirt material is hanging, and her slightly forward leaning posture, they can see everything!

While reading this comic book, I'm going to try not to keep thinking, "I wonder what Helena and Karen are doing right now?"

This issue is called "The Secret History of Superman & Batman, Part Two: Presentiments." It begins with an Oracle on Paradise Island telling Wonder Woman what her agency will be. "You have no motivations or desires, girl! You will save some young boys so that they can save the future, ya git me?" And Wonder Woman is all, "Yes sir! I mean mam! Right away!"

Why are the Amazons so into snakes? ...oh! I get it! Hee hee.

Wonder Woman learns that she gave up any chance to help the world because she fucked a man. But she can still help the world like I said would happen earlier before I even read that that was what was going to happen: she can help protect the males who will be the ones to save the world! That'll teach Wonder Woman to think twice the next time she straddles a sexy man named after a Herman Hesse novel who wields a vibro axe!

And hopefully this will teach all of the young women reading this comic book too! See how having sex with a man can completely destroy your future and invalidate your entire being? So don't do it! Don't fuck men who aren't your dads! I mean, don't fuck your dads either because that's gross. It's also gross that fathers think so often about their daughters fucking guys. That is gross, right? Who looks at a little infant girl and thinks, "Some day, you'll be filled with another man's semen and completely ruined and I'll always look at you differently after that, my sweet, baby girl"? I guess the same types of fathers who look at an infant boy and think, "You'll be tearing up that pussy in no time, big man!"

Hermes heard that Wonder Woman puts out, so he thought it would be a good idea to get naked and kidnap her.

So far, this is way better than a comic book about female friendship! It's teaching women important lessons about keeping their beautiful, pure vaginas safe from the lurid evil of misbegotten men and their slavering penises!

Tornado Lane (remember, she's narrating all of this for some reason!) remembers a time when Bruce remembered a time when he visited the zoo with his father as Frankie Falcone (or one of his thugs, more probably. I can't tell! All the bad guys on Earth-2 look like swingers!) stalked them. I'm not sure how Tornado Lane remembers the part of the remembrance where Frankie was watching from a distance and smoking a cigarette. Maybe that was just part of Batman's description of the memory: "I suppose, judging from how Frankie almost sodomized me in the darkness of that fell bestiary, that he had been lurking around the zoo, behind cotton candy carts, ducking behind ornamental shrubbery, skulking just unseen at the edges of my peripheral vision behind glossy Mylar balloons and screaming children."

Oh, gee. Bats in an early story of Bruce's formative years. How exciting. Also, I don't think I ever used the word 'beautiful' as a child. Or as an adult. Although, if little Bruce here were me, I probably would have described the bats as 'macabre' or 'cutesie wootsie.'

As Thomas and Bruce Wayne exit the darkness, they're set upon by the guy that had been stalking them! Which was probably not Frankie because why would Frankie threaten Bruce and then attack him in broad daylight himself?

But look at the size of this guy's cock! Holy moley!

Meanwhile in Smallville, Clark Kent learns about Stranger Danger when two grown women begin battling over him. Wait. I didn't mean Stranger Danger. I meant boners. He learned about boners.

Now I can't scan any pictures of Clark in this story or you'll be disturbed that I talked about a boy his age getting an erection. Just picture him being about twelve. Although if he was twelve and he was just learning about boners, he might have a deficiency in his Kryptonian Testosterone.

Next, Lois Lane remembers a memory that she can't remember but she remembers she loves flying. So that's probably good enough to explain how her consciousness survives inside of a robot body.

Really though. Was anybody really concerned about the scientific aspects of Lois Lane's ego inside the body of a robot? I mean, we're all comic book readers here, right?

I'm so happy we're learning all the answers nobody was clamoring for to all of the questions that nobody was asking! It isn't a waste of a comic book title at all! Helena and Karen who?!

Wonder Woman saves Clark and then is whisked away by Hermes to save Bruce. What else does she have to do? If she wasn't put on these missions, she'd probably go back to fucking the enemy. But before Wonder Woman arrives, Bruce saves his father from a bullet in the head.

No wonder Bruce was so racked by guilt over his parents' death. He had the capacity to save them within himself the entire time!

So Wonder Woman saves Bruce as well. But this is the secret history of Bruce and Clark! So that means that Bruce and Clark must forget what just happened! And they do! But Lois Lane remembers because fuck you.

Worlds' Finest #28 Rating: DC Comics ruined this comic book. Fuck Batman and Superman. They have plenty of titles between them. And fuck this "secret history" bullshit! We don't need retcons or additions to origin stories that we already know backwards and forwards. Especially origin stories of the Earth-2 versions of these characters! You know what? I can't believe I'm going to say this but you know what? I'd rather read Aquaman and the Others!

Worlds' Finest #27

Yay! Just what DC's fans have been clamoring for! Another comic book starring Batman and Superman!

Do I really care about the secret history of Earth-2? Maybe if it's all the blood of Charlemagne lizard people and rampant chupacabras, sure! But if it's "Thomas Wayne didn't die in that alley!" and "Superman wasn't the only Superbaby!", I'm not so sure I'm interested. Why can't this be a Man-Thing/Howard the Duck team up?

Hey Marvel and DC! Get your stupid act together and realize that you should be publishing one monthly comic book that mixes your stupid universes. Just tell the lawyers to fuck off and stop trying to stifle everybody's fun. If you have to, just publish it with characters with slightly different names followed by "wink wink" in parentheses. So you'd have Badgerine (wink wink!) and Uberman (wink wink) and Amazing Woman (wink wink plus a nudge nudge) and Arachnid-dude (wink wink) and The Ostentatious Ignoramus (you know, the Hulk! Wink wink!). What's wrong with Marvel and DC? Do they hate money?

This issue begins with Tornado Lane believing that Earth-2 is so fucking special that all of its history and art and knowledge and sexual positions need to be recorded and preserved so that maybe, sometime in the far future when nobody will give a shit about ancient happenings, a society will take up her digital recordings and say, "How am I supposed to access this data in this antiquated storage device?" No wait. What Lois hopes will happen is that they will "rebuild their world if possible." Who is going to want to rebuild an ancient world that doesn't fucking matter anymore? I think the future will be more interested in naked selfies of your robot circuitry than the history of Batman and Superman. So come on, Lois! Remove the metal carapace and show me your chips!

Tornado Lane begins her historical account with the early years of Clark Kent. Who's that? Perhaps she should begin by telling the future that he was Superman! She's assuming her audience knows an awful lot.

"Know this, Future Generations: Superman's father was a huge failure."

While little baby Clark was rocketing to Earth filling his space capsule with loads of green baby turds, Thomas Wayne was busy telling Frankie Falcone that he and Martha are done attending his key parties. But he's Frankie Falcone, baby! If he wants to fuck something, he's going to fuck it! Nobody says "Get your dick out of my face!" to Frankie Falcone! Well, nobody but Thomas Wayne. But he would pay for that transgression! In an alley! Behind a theater! After watching The Mask of Zorro! Um, probably. It happens like that on every Earth, right?

Since Thomas won't play pee-pee games with Falcone anymore, Falcone needs a favor from Thomas Wayne so that Frankie can find someone that can't say no to his fat dick.

Oh yeah. Frankie's gonna get himself a gay baby!

Meanwhile on Krypton, Intri of Apokolips arrives to make Jor-el an offer he'll probably refuse because it's probably about his baby and Darkseid's cock.

There's an awful lot of infant pedophilia happening so far in the secret history of Earth-2.

I'm getting the feeling that Tornado Lane isn't recording the secret history of Earth-2. I think she's just writing her own wank book. A filthy, disgusting, immoral wank book that I completely and totally don't approve of at all! Except I have to admit that it should be published because I'm against censorship even if the material that is being censored involves people having sex with infants. I, for one, would never create horrible material like that! Can you even imagine reading something so ethically disgusting? Baby Alan Scott lying in the crib with a come hither giggle, naked, drooling, and seductive lying in its own filth, while a man...Ugh! So gross! How dare you, Tornado Lane, put those thoughts in anybody's mind! Shame on you, Lois! Shame!

Anyway, Jor-el sends Clark, Kara, Val, and a mystery baby away from Krypton so they could avoid dying and/or being molested.

Yeah! Although the children are being sent to the world with that other monster, Frankie Falcone, on it. So they still might wind up with severe trauma.

Thomas beats down Frankie Falcone which may or may not come back to haunt him later. I guess it depends on whether or not the mugger that kills his wife was a random mugging or a hit put out by Frankie. Will Tornado Lane uncover the truth to that story? You know what? I don't really fucking care. Why am I, once again, rereading Batman and Superman origin stories?! I've had it to the end of my cock with these fucking stories no matter what kind of twist DC puts on them! And I'm talking about my erect cock and not my flaccid cock! So that's like a whole bunch of more inches or centimeters or something worth of exhausted with these stories! Batman and Superman are so over!

Worlds' Finest #27 Rating: -4 Ranking. DC Comics has done a disservice to this title by losing the story of female friendship that had shaped it up until this point. I'm really not interested in a story about Earth-2 Superman and Batman! We already know the end of that story! They die! Oh, sure. Maybe it'll wind up being entertaining and interesting how all the Soon To Be Justice Society Babies' lives will be intricately tied up with one another. But it had better get really interesting really quickly or I'm going to rant and rave and lose my mind every time I have to read this stupid fucking comic book! Or forget making Earth-2's Super Babies interesting and just give me back Huntress and Power Girl, you jerks!

Futures End: Worlds' Finest #1

Five years ago, the world as we know it ceased to be. Luckily, the world as we know it from The Road Warrior came into being. Many people were prepared for this turn of events. Too bad those people were geeks and nerds without any real survival skills. Tragically, they were all rape-murdered by corporate CEOs who, it turned out, were the biggest sociopaths on the planet. Some nerds and geeks survived longer than others due to their proficiency at oral sex. But even these desperate, shameless nerds could not last for long. Eee! Tess Ate Chai Tea gave and gave and gave but eventually, as he knew deep down would happen, he used a little too much teeth. He was thrown into Lightning Dome, a more terrifying version of Thunder Dome, where twenty combatants entered and nineteen left. Mostly because the nineteen were working together to fightfuck the lone other. Eee! Tess Ate Chai Tea lasted thirteen minutes, a good showing but not good enough to be remembered for more than the long weekend.

As it turned out, some of the most depraved and richest CEOs were the biggest fans of Eee! Tess Ate Chai Tea. When the updates stopped (for, you see, DC Comics continued to publish during these post-apocalyptic times although their market share was now worse than Dynamite. In their defense, Gail Simone was being forced to write all of the titles deep within Dynamite headquarters, and all of the titles featured naked lesbians as every character), the CEOs grew desperate for the only written entertainment they could stomach. A new Tess was needed. And who better to take over the job than the monster that delivered the death thrust to Tess, Goggles McDeathhurt.

And now, five years later, Goggles McDeathhurt and Xanadux Rat Wine (Mit Jellied Pinkies) Present: HOLY FUCK! Don't Put That There Chai Tea! Recently, Goggles broadcast went national via short wave radio. But the signal was being blocked in Reading City by The Long Boxes, a gang of misogynistic, bigoted comic book know-it-alls who replaced it with their own show called "Truly Fanatical!" This is their broadcast.

Fuck you, Scanners! Fuck you right in your cock gobbling faces, you pieces of shit! Nobody in this city is going to be listening to that illiterate, dumb as a fucking cock, can't even fucking speak English fucking cunt Gobbles Upbutt-turds. Who can stand listening to that mongrelese? How can you idiots not just turn that shit off! Stop following that fucking show, you morons. Maybe the day she learns how to conjugate a few verbs correctly, she might be worth listening to. Until then, fuck trying to understand her shit, right? Someone talks like that, they're probably fucking retarded anyways.

That show is dead in Reading City, here me? This is the show you're going to get, comic book lovers! "Truly Fanatical!" That's me, P.T. Goddard, knower of all things comical anybody could ever know! And this is Long Box Country! It's our city and we won't have any of that Gobbles bullshit commentary on comics since she doesn't even know shit about them anyway. Fuck that whore. How the fuck did she get a fucking sponsor for her show? Probably because she's got titties.

Speaking of titties, I have in my talented little hands (if you understand what I'm saying, ladies, and, well let's face it, you probably don't being, you know, one of the, shall I say, less intelligent gender) a comic book featuring the two biggest boobs at DC Realfeel™ comic books! No, no! I'm not talking about Geoff Johns and Jim Lee although I can understand why you might jump to that conclusion! I'm talking about Power Girl's titties! The Huntress is also in this comic book but I'd probably only add half a titty to the total if I were to include her mamma-jammas.

I've got here the Futures End issue of Worlds' Finest, which is an apt title for this comic because boner city, right? The cover should replace "Power Girl" and "The Huntress" with "Right Boob" and "Left Boob." Without that boob window, Power Girl would have zero fans being that she's just a second rate Superman. No wait. Supergirl is a second-rate Superman and Power Girl is a third rate Supergirl. And the Huntress? Shit. She's worse than every Robin ever kicked the side of Batman and most of those Robins were huge pussies. Hmm, I guess she compares favorably to them after all! OH!

Oh, is that what we're supposed to call huge tits? Healthy?

Power Girl raids Cadmus Island because she knows her best friend and, probably, her strap-on lover is being held in their OMAC Prison Complex. As the truly fanatical know, her mission is bound to fail because, as seen in the pages of Futures End #18 and #19, she winds up under Brother Eye's control. But for now she's free and she may even manage to free The Huntress because something should probably happen in this comic book that'll matter in the Futures End weekly since Keith Giffen is advising on the issue. Unless he was just advising Paul Levitz on a proper diet to keep regular. How old are those guys anyway? They must be going on nearly dead.

While Power Boobs explores Cadmus Island, she discovers a lab where scientists have vivisected Steel. Good. Talk about third rate Supergirls! Why did DC even bother with that character? The only reason they created him was to have yet another black character. As if they didn't already have enough, they decided some useless guy, that nobody believed was a genius, by the way, could fill Superman's role when he wasn't available to protect Metropolis? Who cares if he's dead? Although now I wish there was a Futures End: Steel #1 that was just twenty pages of him being taken apart alive, panel by panel. The picture shows a big laundry cart filled with Steel's parts that says, "Steel Vivisection Results." Really? Those are the results? A big pile of waste products? I think somebody just did it for fun.

Metaphor? Oh yeah!

Power Girl emasculates Deathstroke by bending his phallus and then knocking it out of his hands. I can see that. He probably has her beat in a one on one match where he knows who she is or suspects she has powers. But here he needs to take some time to assess the situation, having first thought she was simply an unknown human having breached security. She might be strong but he has a much sharper and more tactical mind for battle. So Power Girl wins the first round due to surprise but I'm sure Deathstroke will take her out by the end. If not then Paul Levitz is a fucking hack that doesn't know anything about comic books or these characters.

Next, Deathstroke blows his load all over Power Girl's chest.

This happens every time Power Girl wears an article of clothing that covers up her cleavage.

Before Deathstroke can teach Power Girl a thing or two about kicking ass, Fifty Sue arrives on the scene to stop Power Girl. Fifty Sue is some super powered creature created by Cadmus. Her looks were made to match her attitude. She's a horrible little monster so she was made to look like a little girl. Power Girl suspects she might be Darkseid's daughter which would be something since Darkseid's daughter was supposed to appear in Vibe and then that stupid shit got its ass cancelled because it was about the most boring character DC ever created. Again, when you create a character just to have another minority character, it's going to wind up stupid and dumb bullshit.

And then a sixth rate Supergirl comes to Power Girl's rescue. Great.

She doesn't quite fill out the suit as well as the original. Not bad though. Not bad at all.

Fifty Sue defeats both Power Girls because DC decided they needed some all-powerful antagonist working for Cadmus and in cahoots with Brother Eye. And who better than a little girl that nobody has ever heard of before? I'm just surprised DC made her a white little girl. I guess it would be wrong to make her a minority since she's the biggest bad guy on Earth right now. Can't have that!

Once again, another Futures End comic book that didn't fucking matter at all! Maybe Fifty Sue will turn out to be related to Darkseid somehow since something needs to explain why Giffen was involved in this book. I guess he had to make sure that Paul Levitz didn't do something stupid that would make DC a laughingstock for years to come because DC has a reputation of excellence to maintain! Not like they've ever done anything stupid like that before! You know, something really fucking dumb like having a character like Eclipso defeat all of DC's heroes in a huge summer event only to have his secret headquarters on the dark side of the moon to protect himself from his greatest weakness, the sun, even though the location of his headquarters meant he was bathed in sunlight for nearly half of the moon's rotation each month. Fucking idiots.

That's all I have to say about that! Thanks for listening to Truly Fanatical! Don't fucking listen to that other fucking illiterate show or the Long Boxes will fucking kill you. Talk to you in twenty-three!

Worlds' Finest #26

So many capes!

Every time I see the trailer for Dolphin Tale 2, I get all riled up and offended and my hackles go all "sproing!" It is such a dehumanizing story about dolphins. It's possible my problem with the movie is that I'm approaching it from already humanized dolphins, so you might point out that I'm overreacting. Maybe humanizing dolphins is the reason somebody thought this movie was a good idea! Who wants to go see a movie where people are inspired and learn about hope from a hopeless, intelligent creature being held in captivity? Just imagine how offended you would be if this movie took place in 1833 and Winter was a slave on some Southern plantation?

* * * * *

The trailer opens with a beautiful Southern Belle, Sadie, welcoming some older, white gentlemen in white suits to her palatial estate overlooking her cotton fields. "Hey everybody! How's it going today?" Also imagine that the producers, directors, writers, and actors decided that anachronisms weren't going to hurt their inspirational teen flick, mostly because I can't be bothered with all that in this quick sketch of a thoroughly offensive movie I'm about to describe. Winter, the house slave, steps up and offers everybody some lemonade, "fresh as a raccoon's biscuit."

"Looks like Winter's particularly playful today," says Sadie as she flashes a smile at her guests and shoots daggers at Winter. A young slave girl runs up and belches and everybody onscreen laughs as the main title appears: A Slave's Tale 2. This is followed with "The most extraordinary slave in the world will face his greatest challenge." Perky, upbeat music plays as we see the nearly corpsified local doctor speaking with Sadie. "Your house slave, Winter...he's not doing well, Sadie." Sadie's younger sister rubs Winter's head as he sits on the porch staring blankly over the bright green, nearly mile long front lawn, a small pair of clippers lying at his feet, something in his right hand hidden by his leg. The doctor says, "Does he do much housework?"

"Hardly any," replies Sadie.

"Have you tried bribing him with bacon?" asks the doctor. Sadie stares at the doctor incredulously. "It works for my cat," he drawls, and they both smile wide as a tear drops from Winter's eye to splash the small, hemp doll he holds, unnoticed, in his right hand.

The scene shifts to Sadie and the Doctor speaking in a luxurious parlor. "Winter needs to be paired with another female, and soon," warns the doctor as the music shifts to a nervous, unsure rhythm. Sadie's younger sister and brother sit by nervously wringing fancy lace something or others.

The scene shifts to a dark night out on the front lawn with the stark white estate in the background lit by electric lights. The Doctor, Sadie, Sadie's siblings, and several neighbors stand anxiously upon the dirt drive. Half a dozen men ride up with torches, a woman with a bag on her head and tied to a rope stumbling behind them trying to keep pace. "The local constabulary just picked up a runaway. It's a female." The lead man gets down off his horse, hands the torch to another and pulls the woman up from where she's collapsed in a heap. He removes the bag and an "Awwww!" rises up from the throats of the gathered onlookers. The woman spits and screams and breaks down into fits of crying as the gathered white people smile at each other and tilt their heads in the way people tilt their heads when they're looking at something extraordinarily cute and/or valuable.

The Doctor shouts nervously, "We've got to get her to her kind fast!"

"I'll take her myself!" Sadie runs forward in her majestic dress and tenderly helps the young woman to her feet. "Come on, girl," she whispers in that way slave owners whisper to slaves and furniture and the chickens. Her siblings rush behind her as Sadie takes the woman into the slave bunkhouse, setting her down on an empty bed where the woman curls up into a hitching, sobbing ball of tears and anger. "Now all we can do is hope," says Sadie.

"Hope," says Sadie's little sister. "That's her name."

A short montage gives the impression of some days passing as Hope is given clothing, and fed, and shown what chores she'll be responsible for around the slave bunkhouse. Hope stands rigid while holding a spade and staring at a tiny grave marker by the far corner of the bunkhouse. Sadie's brother watches and says, "Can we talk about putting her to work in the house with Winter?"

Sadie, aghast, says, "You can't just throw two slaves in the house together!"

"If they don't like each other! We'll lose Winter!" Sadie's brother stamps his foot and runs, crying, back into the house, ignoring Winter sitting on the stoop shining a pile of shoes.

The scene shifts to a long dining table full of silver everythings and sumptuous foods. Winter stands nearby with a pitcher of Iced Tea as the family talks about what they can do to save Winter. The music becomes inspirational and upbeat. "What are we supposed to do?"

"It's a big world, Sawyer," says the Doctor who came by for some roast suckling and peach pie. "You have to shake it up now and then."

"I know Winter!" Sadie's younger sister, Sawyer, proclaims as she slams the silver gravy tureen down upon the table. Winter flinches as he stands behind her ready to pour some tea as soon as a glass is half emptied. "If we don't give him this chance, what do we do? I don't want to look back on this knowing we didn't even try!"

"Sawyer's right," says Sadie's younger brother, Little Sadie. The little slave girl from earlier runs in and says, "Yumm yumm!"

"My sentiment's exactly!" says the old Doctor as everybody congratulates themselves on their newly awakened inspiration to do something inspiring and save Winter although they don't know what that will be yet. I mean, they know it won't be setting him free or anything. At this point, the music really kicks in so that the audience knows the white people are about to get some serious shit done for Winter and Hope!

Then there's a fifteen to twenty second montage of Sawyer and Little Sadie doing amazing things over lines like "Believe" and "the strength of white people" and "the power of delusion" and lyrics like "No matter what they put us through!" and "I believe in me and you!" until the trailer settles back down on Sawyer and Little Sadie watching Winter and Hope standing somewhat apart from each other but both staring down at something near the far corner of the bunkhouse.

"We don't know for sure if slaves feel friendship, but it feels like they do," Sawyer says to Little Sadie as Winter and Hope both drop to their knees and begin rending their garments. "That's not a bad thing."

Sadie appears on screen again saying, "Is everybody set?" She's standing before the slaves bunkhouse. "Okay. Send Hope!" She opens the door where Winter can be seen sitting on the edge of a bed naked, shadows hiding anything that shouldn't be seen in a trailer for a family movie. Hope is pushed and prodded into the bunk in a white, gauzy dress. Sadie and her family and all the white, rich neighbors look on expectantly, hugging and grinning wide as the final title credit comes up: A Slave's Tale 2. The music continues, "I believe! I believe in you!"

The screen goes dark for a moment before returning to show the little slave girl once again spinning around and banging into the porch window as a young white boy down the way and Little Sadie stand inside watching. "What is wrong with that nigger?" says the neighbor.

"Where do I start?" says Little Sadie, shaking his head in sad trombone resignation. The little girl belches blood and the music ends and "Fucking Never" appears on the screen. That's the month this movie is going to come out!

* * * * *

Okay then! How about we read a comic book?

Power Girl and The Huntress have arrived on Earth 2 during the Battle of the Worlds' Biggest Boom Tube! Now, they never appeared in Earth 2 during the battle but I imagine, judging by the cover, they'll wind up in the part of the battle that wasn't shown while The Streak Starring Jay Gimmick took care of business with Aquawoman.

Back on New Earth, Doctor Spears learns that she's now not only rich but powerful to boot!

Lucky for New Earth, Desaad also made it through the portal. Also lucky for The Huntress and Power Girl because that was really fucking irresponsible of them to leave him behind! He could have killed everybody! Or at least a few dozen people before Batman stopped him.

While Desaad is busy trying to get back to Apokolips via the great big new Boom Tube and Tanya Spears is getting checked out for new super powers, Power Girl and The Huntress head off to confront Val-el and Replacement Batman. But apparently that won't happen in this issue because 17 year old Tanya Spears is the focus of this one. Her and her new super powers and her physics professor that believes in God because he wants it to be true and not because he has any evidence for it.

Never trust a scientist that feels he needs to make up answers to questions he can't yet answer.

Earlier the professor says, "There's no conflict between science and the spiritual in my view, simply two ways of looking at the universe." True! One way looks at the universe and what it does and says, "Okay. Look at that. That's how that works." The other looks at the universe and says, "I hope my ego lives forever! Let's pretend that's a thing!"

Finally, Tanya learns that she not only received loads of cash from Karen but the name "Power Girl" as well. How exactly did Karen transfer her Kryptonian powers to Tanya?! I bet she used some technology she fucked away from Michael Holt!

Worlds' Finest #26 Rating: No change. There's a new, very young, super smart Power Girl in town! What team is she going to join first?! I hope she joins Justice League Canada because that's the best Justice League out there. Although they already have Supergirl so she might be redundant. Although they can probably be really good friends! They're both young and powerful. I think that should be one of the World's Finest team-ups! Also, I should say that I stand by my "A Slave's Tale 2" trailer. I actually think it's well done! Not the main story! The other story! The one the white people can't see!

Worlds' Finest #25

Do I have to think up stupid nicknames for The Huntress and Power Girl now? How about "Super Cousin" and "The Other One. You Know, The Brunette. The One That Was Scowling All Night In The Corner." Maybe I'll work on those.

People don't really like to read anymore unless you number the paragraphs and start out with a headline that assures people that they will be done reading in just a few easy steps. So I'm going to just start writing my own Cracked articles but not submit them to Cracked because I hate that fucking site. Why don't they just write funny lists about advertisements or lists of links to other articles about advertisements? Not that I'm above making money! If I knew what the fuck I was doing, you'd be reading a pop-up ad right now instead of my stupid bullshit! Anyway, here's my Cracked Article that doesn't appear on Cracked!

Top Five Literary Sequels If The Author Used Current Sequel Naming Conventions!

Before I get to Number Five (you do these lists backwards, right? If not, just renumber them the way you'd like them to be renumbered. But in your head! Don't try to hack my site and change the source code, asshole!), let me just say that the title could probably use some improvement. But from what I understand about Cracked, the article writers don't get to name their articles anyway (unless they come up with an exciting and clever way of introducing their list which makes sure readers know they're reading a relatively short list that will be split across at least two pages of ads)! I think they have Article Naming Monkeys that know the exact formulas for Link Baiting. I don't have access to a deep reservoir of business geniuses, so I just had to come up with my own title. You shouldn't have been expecting much if you'd read my new nickname for The Huntress.

5. Two Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey
After the legend of Bromden's successful escape attempt at Wacky Acres Loony Bin for People Society Can't Stand to Look At or Listen To Anymore, two new inmates decide to attempt an escape of their own! Wacky hijinks ensue as Nurse Ratched doesn't just lose her top this time because naughty bits really need to escalate in the sequel! The entire book is narrated by lobotomized McMurphy in an artistic tour de force of style by, possibly, a thoroughly inebriated Ken Kesey! Did you ever see his play about the environment starring the characters from The Wizard of Oz? What the fuck was that mess?!

4. Bitter Friday by John Steinbeck
So you couldn't get enough stories about Doc living down on Cannery Row, hunh?! Well here's one more! This time, Doc wakes up one Friday afternoon from a blackout induced by too many beer milkshakes the night before. What did Doc get up to the previous night? Who did he offend? How many stories can this setting really bear? Some might say not this many! Learn the mystery of the otter wearing the women's undergarments! Marvel at the amount of times Steinbeck tries to describe the smell of the ocean! Try to figure out the five levels of subtext that he's jammed into the story of an old man with pissy britches!

3. Houses of Leaves By Mark Z. Danielewski
If you thought the book with just one house was confusing, try a book about a whole suburban development full of crazy houses! Just trying to figure out how to read the book is a mystery since it's published on six interlocking Möbius strips with text that can be read backwards and forwards with no perceptible starting point! White font on barely off-white paper will have you not only wondering what the hell is going on in this book but if there is even a book to fucking read! Art for art's sake has never been so artsy!

2. Catch-23 by Joseph Heller
Fuck yeah, I know Catch-22 already had a sequel! But it should have been named this! And it should have been different because it was less of a one trick pony than Heller's one trick pony, Something Happened! If he had titled the sequel Catch-23 instead of Closing Time, then at least people might have realized it was a fucking sequel! I'd have more to say about this if I could remember anything more about Closing Time other then it was about hard water or something.

1. Dante's Infer-YES! By Dante
Don't get all uppity with me! I know it was actually called Commedia! But nobody ever reads anything but Inferno in The Divine Comedy anyway! It's like all you readers want to do is argue! Just fucking read my shit and get over yourself, okay? Anyway, the sequel to Dante's Inferno, Dante's Infer-YES! is about the protagonist (Dante? Was it Dante? When did I last read this shit?! How long ago was college? How many mushrooms was I on?) returning to Hell with a van full of kegs and weed! It's PARTY TIME, BITCHES! Get your head out of that barrel of shit and drink up, fuckers! Thaw out Satan and tell him to spit out Judas so he can shove some jello shots down his damnation hole! And don't anybody mention this rager to the suicides because we're trying to get our happy on down here and don't need any of their depressing bullshit killing our unrighteous buzzes! FUCK YEAH DUDES!

So that's the end of my Cracked Article that nobody will ever read because it's actually titled "Worlds' Finest #25" and that will only interest people that want to see scanned pictures of Power Girl's boobs.

Oh yeah! That's the stuff!

Mmm-hmm! Here's more of the stuff!

And the stuff just keeps on coming!

Holy shit! Cupcake tonguing?! Now I'm coming!

There were more pictures but suddenly I'm not so interested for some reason.

Power Girl and The Huntress are preparing to head home by doing things like giving their money to their former assistant's daughter and pouting about how they're not invulnerable and will probably die quickly back on Earth-2. Well, they're not both doing those things. One is doing one and the other is doing the other one. And while they walk around the park on their last day on New Earth, they both have the same sized breasts for some reason. I mean, Desaad is also planning on going back to Earth-2 with them.

Back at the lab, Gerhard and Spears prepare the equipment to send Karen and Helena (and Desaad) home.

I guess, technically, stealing technological secrets from Michael Holt doesn't discount her "self-made" status.

Finally, there's a big battle where Power Girl knocks Desaad into the ceiling and then she and The Huntress walk through the portal back home. Seems a bit irresponsible to leave all of her money to Tanya Spears and then to also leave Desaad in the lab with her. Seems like a waste of lawyer fees. Anyway, Desaad would rather go through the portal than stay behind and possess Tanya Spears. But if he can't make it through the portal, I'm sure Tanya will pay the price.

Worlds' Finest #25 Rating: No change. I really thought this would be the last issue with Power Girl and The Huntress but it looks like we need an issue where they get acclimated to life back in the war zone that is everywhere on Earth-2. I've got to say that I really liked the art team of Tyler Kirkham and Joe Weems/Art Thibert. I can't tell which inker I liked more because they weren't credited for specific pages even though you could see the look of the book did take on a different look in a few places, most noticeably in the lab. Although the cover is a pisser for fans of Earth-2 that were expecting part of the story, at least, to take place on Earth-2. I guess the covers got ahead of the story a bit. Anyway, I've really enjoyed most of the run of this comic book with Karen Starr and Helena Wayne. I've read that the next pairing will be Earth-2 Superman and Batman (not Replacement Batman and Val-el but the originals). That's really not very exciting since we already have enough Superman and Batman books, even if these are technically different characters than the guys in the other books. Hopefully the World's Finest pairings will change a lot more often now that they're establishing that the series won't revolve around just the besties from Earth-2.

Worlds' Finest #24

Power Girl seems to get all the cover love. There are two main characters in this book, DC!

A final sacrifice for the Earth 2 Besties and a final two tidbits that I found interesting while looking through my old school papers which my mother thought were important enough to keep. The first one was my elementary school was apparently sponsored by Carl's Jr. "Fuck you! I'm learning!" The second was that I missed 24 days of school in ninth grade. That's more than one full month of classes! I did not have mono or surgery or a deadly illness. That was just 24 days where I didn't feel like going to school and told my mom I was staying home. I think that's where I learned responsibility and self-reliance! My mom didn't feel like she needed to micromanage my schooling. If I felt like I could miss a day or two days or a full month, she believed me. Or she just didn't have the time to fight with me. I'm a pretty stubborn piece of shit.

Normally I'd use the last line of the previous paragraph for a clever segue into the comic book but I don't want to call The Huntress or Power Girl a piece of shit. Although I guess I can call the guy stealing radioactive material from MIT and holding Power Girl's employee hostage a piece of shit!

Yeah, that works! Pretend I did that without all the other extraneous stuff!

When The Huntress chooses to jump off the bridge as the piece of shit suggests, she Narration Boxes "Well, this may not be Austin, but..." for some reason. Am I missing something? What is this a reference to? Do people love to jump off bridges in Austin so they can keep the place weird? Even though she clings to the bottom of the bridge, the piece of shit and the woman possessed by Desaad get away in a hijacked car. That leaves The Huntress to call her friend that can fly. Too bad her friend is busy.

Oh my God! It's the Schoolhouse Rock song "Electricity" come true! Only better!

I say "only better" because the Schoolhouse Rock song says we could just get rid of our reliance on burning coal for power generators if we could find a super hero to turn the crank on the generator to produce power. But I always thought, "That super hero is going to have to power himself with food. How much food energy is he going to need to produce all that electricity?" But Power Girl is fueled by the sun! She could be our solar power!

The Huntress winds up having to follow the piece of shit on foot. She can't even swing around the city since she lost her crossbow in the river. No big deal for the daughter of Catwoman and Batman though! Even though the PoS has a car, The Huntress still manages to catch up to him just a few seconds after he exits the car with his hostage. In the scuffle, the hostage takes a bullet to her upper shoulder and the PoS escapes up an elevator on his way to blow up Boston with his nuclear goodies.

The Huntress catches up to the PoS who continues to shoot at her even though she already showed him once that she can knock his gun out of his hand easily enough.

Good thing she took those classes with Batman or she might never have realized a rock might make a decent weapon.

It's interesting that The Huntress makes such a big deal about finding an improvised weapon with which to knock away the piece of shit's gun at this time when she just did it so casually while saving the hostage. I guess using her tracking device as a weapon doesn't count as an improvised weapon because she probably practices destroying bad guys with every single thing she carries on her person.

Can I end my commentary now? Everybody knows The Huntress is going to stop the bad guy and save the day, right? And Power Girl is going to get the guy and the other guy and maybe a third guy. And then while congratulating everybody on saving the day, they'll forget Kara's employee was currently bleeding out from a gunshot wound.

Enh. It's probably better if she bleeds out since she's full of Desaad.

Worlds' Finest #24 Rating: No change. I'm sure solicits have spoiled who the next Worlds' Finest team is going to be once Power Girl and The Huntress head home. I hope the next Worlds' Finest pairing will be Blue Devil and Black Lightning. The West Coast needs some love! I think I've also run out of non-comic book material to rant about. I'm going to start a new feature called "My Not So Super But Athletically Fit and Hyper Rich So That's Practically A Super Powered Opinion." Or maybe something catchier. So y'all should send me suggestions about subjects you don't give a shit about my opinion on but I'm more than willing to tell everybody what I think, okay?

Worlds' Finest #23

I truly do not understand the fascination with finding a way home.

I suppose home, for me, was my grandparents' house. My mom raised me and my sister on her own and I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. They were my favorite people in the whole world. My grandfather died about ten years ago. He spent about a week in the hospital before he died, so I was able to fly down and be with him a few more times before he went. His most pressing concern was what the weather was like in Portland. I held his hand and told him everything he wanted to know. Later, after he was gone, my cousin and I sat up all night drinking some kind of alcohol we'd found stashed behind his desk that housed his Ham radio (XXXXX was his handle (I just looked it up online and found his name and address under it, so I censored myself. It seems his license expired in 2010 though)), playing cribbage, telling stories, and crying our asses off.

Speaking of his HAM Radio, my grandfather had an antenna tower in his backyard that must have been fifty feet high which he installed himself. When I was in high school, he purchased a Commodore 64 because one of his ham radio friends had homebrew cartridges that could be hooked up to a telegraph key so he could practice his Morse Code. I spent many days during high school sitting next to him as he talked on his Ham radio and I played computer role playing games on the Commodore 64. He was always very excited to make contact with people in new places or to occasionally catch messages from the space shuttle.

I only knew one person more kind and caring than my grandfather, and that was my grandmother. The last few times I spoke with her on the phone, she had to keep asking me who I was. But she also kept assuring me that she loved me, whoever the fuck I was. I shouldn't swear while saying that! I don't know if I ever heard her say a curse word. My grandfather would occasionally let one slip when frustrated with some machine or another and we'd embarrass the hell out of him by pointing it out. My grandmother was constantly curious about the world although she never made it very far in school before having to go to work in the orchards and the canneries. Being first generation Spanish American, she was brought up Catholic but I don't think she believed much of anything that had to do with the religion and the church in her later years. She wasn't the type to apologize and make excuses simply because she had been raised a certain way. I remember her telling me once how she couldn't understand why the Catholics were always speaking so poorly of the Jews and that it really made her question the values of the church and its members. Her wedding photo with my grandfather was in formal wear because they were married in the courthouse. Eventually they got married in a church due to the pressures of the church and the times about having children that would be perceived, by some, out of wedlock since they hadn't had a church wedding. She had two children six years apart in a time when Spanish and Catholic families generally had large families. I never asked her but I have a feeling there were some non-church approved methods of family planning going on.

My grandmother tried to instill discipline in her grandchildren by threatening us with the big wooden decorative spoon that hung on the wall. Mostly she just hissed "mal niño" or "mal niña" at us. But she was too nice and couldn't stand to see her grandchildren unhappy or upset. Until the day she died, I could always make her feel bad by reminding her how she made me get up and walk to the back of the house to brush my teeth when I had shingles in second grade. I'm sure she thought I was being overly dramatic about how much it hurt but I assured her the pain was excruciating. And I assured her a lot through the years! I may have just liked teasing her but I think I also loved seeing how much she cared about me by how much that memory hurt her. Not that she'd weep over it when I mentioned it! She always laughed and got a kick out of it but you could hear in her voice how sorry she was that she had any part in causing me any kind of pain.

Anyway, they're all dead and stuff now, so let's talk about something that matters! Like Power Girl's outfit!

So cute! Although I don't know why Power Girl's outfit has made me tear up so much! So weird!

Karen Starr has decided that she doesn't have time for secret identities anymore! She has to find a way home even if it brings TMZ rushing to her lab's doorsteps. Starr Industries has one lab left because all of Power Girl's resources are now being directed at opening a portal home. She saw it done by Kaizen Gammora Jr, so she knows she can eventually do it as well. Especially if The Huntress finds a way to steal all of Kaizen Gammora Jr's files about Project I'd Better Do As Flip The Fuck Out Superman Commands.

Dude, when's the last time you saw a woman with eyes where her vagina should be? Eyes up top, perv!

Karen and her German boytoy test out the equipment and, coincidentally, Boston has a huge blackout. And to make matters worse, Darkseid's boytoy, Desaad, has decided he'd like to prank Boston while their power is out. What a huge joker! Also a massive dick sucker. He just loves massive dicks! Like Darkseid's!

That last paragraph may have seemed like I was immaturely using homosexuality as a way of belittling Desaad but I assure you it was not. It was just facts! Desaad is totally Darkseid's lifemate! Not in the way two loving people become a couple and live the rest of their lives together. But in the kind of way where Peppermint Patty is so charismatic and powerful that Marcy decides to give up everything in her life to wait hand and foot on Peppermint Patty and to, you know, give her adult pleasure when she's feeling tense. Or horny. Or hungry. Or world dominate-y. You know. Whatever. Mr. Burns and Smithers have that kind of relationship too! As did Dick Cheney and George W. Bush! Whoops! That time I was using homosexuality as an immature way to belittle someone. I sometimes find it's worth throwing my ethical values out the window just to see the look on some total asshole's face when I call them gay. Sorry! I'll try to work on that. Unless money is involved. Then fuck my ethics because I'm getting paid!

Meanwhile, The Huntress is breaking in to MIT to steal their Telnet server so she can log in to TinyEARTH2. During the blackout, she runs into three other people breaking into the university to steal their supply of radioactive material. So now she has to deal with that.

This is a thing that is happening as well. Karen's assistant Tanya gets possessed by Desaad. Make your own joke for that. I didn't even want to mention it but thought it might be important later.

As you can see in the panel above, The Huntress's pursuit of the bad guy with the radioactive lunch box brings her into Tanya's story. Even though she's the daughter of Catwoman and Batman, the Huntress winds up caught off guard when the car crashes. At least she lands on her feet thanks to her mom's cat skills which she has for some reason. I think it's because her face was once licked by a radioactive cat. That gave her cancer and she died but the lick also gave her new cat powers which enabled her to live again eight more times! Another one of her cat powers was to have a litter with kittens from different fathers. So The Huntress probably has a half-brother out there whose dad is Superman. Anyway, the evil doer takes Tanya hostage and tells The Huntress to jump off the bridge or Desaad gets it.

Worlds' Finest #23 Rating: No change. My favorite part of this comic book series is the interaction between best friends Power Girl and The Huntress. And that didn't happen this issue, so I can't like it as much as I usually like it. But I did like it because it was a good story decently told. Although Desaad could have been a little creepier. And Power Girl could have had sex with somebody for three or four pages. Very slowly. And then hard! And fast! And then slow again! So slow! And then quicker! Quicker! Quick...hmm, I've lost interest now for some reason.

Worlds' Finest #22

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that these two don't actually fight this issue. At most, they might have a minor squabble or inconsequential disagreement.

I was detailing my elementary school achievements during the First Contact storyline but since that only lasted four issues and I managed to stay in school for more than four years, I'll have to continue digging through my past during regularly scheduled episodes of Worlds' Finest. Next up: Third Grade!

My finest award in third grade is also the scariest.

I have no memory of participating in any carnival at all. I was probably forced to do it.

I also received two certificates that seem less like achievements and almost feel a bit insulting. They're fancy certificates for having achieved "basic competency" in math and reading.

Satanic Principal Passarello: "Has this child managed to struggle through our Master's Black Prayer?"
Satanic 3rd Grade Teacher Mrs. Black: "Yes, Dark Lord of Haman Elementary. Well enough, I suppose. He seemed to question the veracity of our Evil Master but he managed to recite the Dark Incantation promising his soul to He That Fulfills Our Desires."
Satanic Principal Passarello: "Good! Good! And has he shown a flair for calculating the proper mix of human blood with rabid dog feces for the Carnival's Punch?"
Satanic 3rd Grade Teacher Mrs. Black: "Enh. Competent, at best."
Satanic Principal Passarello: "Good enough! You may honor him with mediocre awards on shoddy paper stamped with the Unholy Seal of the Santa Clara Unified School District! Go Haman Eagles!"
Satanic 3rd Grade Teacher Mrs. Black: "Go Haman Eagles!"

I also received this outstanding achievement because my Satanic Elementary School was simply obsessed with hooters.

You can see in Woodsy's eyes that he's warning me to run! Run from this evil institution! As fast and as far as I can!

And finally, proof that I excelled in the Dark Arts.

If only I had the work of art here in Portland that was hung in the museum when I was eight. It was of a haunted house, further proof that Darkness and Evil were lauded and awarded at my Satanic Elementary School.

Of the things that could be officially awarded by the school district, those were the extents of my accomplishments in third grade. And what of the Unholy things that could not officially be recognized? Well, those would best go unnamed, wouldn't they?

Last issue of Worlds' Finest left Kara angry at Hel for closing the portal that led back home and, almost assuredly, to pain and torture and near immediate death.

I'm fairly certain that Power Girl lives in a van down by the river.

For this issue, Gamorra will be played by "Gammora." Now please respect our players with silence, turn off your cell phones, and stop tearing open candy bags during the performance.

Kara and Hel stop bickering about the dangers of a now non-existent portal when the last of the ARGUS agents burst into the room to claim all of Kaizen Gamorra Jr's busted up technology. Power Girl decides beating the agents senseless would be better than giving them the technology that she's been looking for for five years.

"Good question"? I guess she's also decided speaking nonsense gives her a tactical advantage.

The Worlds' Finest Girls spend the next few pages beating up ARGUS agents. Speaking of The Huntress as a "girl", she really cannot be seventeen like Batman thought she was a few issues ago (possibly in Batman Loves Superman). Because there is no way she came over to New Earth as a twelve year old. Maybe she was seventeen when she first came over. I'd buy that!

For some reason, The Huntress decides to have a flashback to nearly four years ago. I suppose she could be thirteen in this flashback since the sex slave hunters she's battling refer to her as a kid in a mask. But if she is suddenly that young, it's retroactive! I have a feeling if I reread the older issues of this comic book, I'd feel all oogy by the way they portray her when first coming to New Earth if I'm supposed to believe she was twelve.

However old she is, she defeats the sex slave hunter bad guys and the flashback ends. I don't know why it occurred when it did though! I guess the storyline on New Gamorra was over?

The Huntress heads home to research the technology she stole from Gamorra while Power Girl flies away to think about how hot the bad guy was. There's a lot of that going on in The New 52. Some guy tries to kill a woman. The woman hates him for it but can't stop mentioning how hot and sexy the guy is. Really? Does that really go through someone's mind when thinking about some asshole that just tried to kill you? "Man! If only he hadn't tried to stab me in the face, I'd fuck his brains out!"

While The Huntress discovers whatever I'll find out she discovers on the last page, Kara learns from her lawyers that Starr Industries has been returned to her. She immediately tells them to sell it all, leave her one lab, and get those fat stacks of cash into her bank account as fast as possible. She has a Dimension Tunneler to build!

Are two points of evidence really enough when you're dealing with alternate realities that might differ in only the slightest of ways?

Worlds' Finest #22 Rating: No change. I have only one idea for why that story was shoved in the middle of this comic book. I think some artists couldn't make their deadlines so they split the story into two separate bits and brought in some other artists to finish up the flashback. I don't think the flashback had anything to do with the main story. I suppose it could be setting up a confrontation with the sex traffickers in a future issue. Anyway, as I pointed out, there was no battle between the besties. They bickered a bit and that was it.

Worlds' Finest #14

"That's for roasting Sniffer, Madame Slutowski the Sluttiest Slut from Slutty Sluts Lane!"

That wasn't me shaming Power Girl for her prodigious sex life! That was that jerky Parademon! See, as a writer, sometimes you have to put yourself in the shoes of characters you can't stand. It's a rough job but you can't have novels filled with courageous, kind, sweet, polite people or else there would be no conflict! At least their would be no outer conflict. I'm sure everybody would be whispering between their teeth about how fucking phony everybody else was acting.

One thing I've never understood is shaming women for having sex. Don't people want to have sex?! Why would you teach half the population that it's wrong for them to have sex and then praise the other half of the population for having sex with a good old slap on the back and a wink of the eye? It's a lot easier for everybody to get some action if you treat sex as an awesome experience for all parties involved (and the more parties involved, the merrier! Or more confusing. I forget which since it's been so long since I've been involved in lots and lots of orgies! Loads of them!).

You know what culture had it right about sex? Whichever one was always threatening to throw a virgin or two in the local volcano! That's the way to do it! You put that threat out there and all the young men and women are going to start throwing themselves at you to prove they're not worthy of the volcano's smoking hot maw. I'm pretty sure that's where the phrase "smoking hot" came from.

Village Elder: "Hmm. Young man. You are smoking hot."
Young Man: "Woah now! Umm, would you like to put your dick in my butthole?"
Village Elder: "That would not please the volcano, Young Man. But it would please me greatly!"

So, that's my life! Writing crappy porn at five in the morning while eating leftover Banana Cake! I'm doing my folks proud!

Hey, change of subject! Remember how The Huntress and Power Girl had just escaped Desaad's men and giant dogs at the end of last issue? Apparently they're still being pursued because Helena just woke up in another one of her safe houses which somebody had set on fire! Sure, sure. Power Girl may have fucked up making waffles. But I don't think Power Girl is currently in.

Helena spends a few minutes getting dressed in her Huntress costume as the cabin is consumed by flames. Hey, she can't just run outside in her pajamas for whoever set the fire to see her secret identity and her boobies! Second Catwoman taught her well about situations like these. After donning her gear, she heads out into the middle of the flames in the middle of the house and thinks, "No arsonist in sight!" I guess arsonists on Earth 2 are dumber than arsonists on Earth Prime who light the fires from the outside of the building.

Helena meets up with Karen in Woodstock where they enjoy themselves with a walk and some ice cream.

Ugh. Throw it away. It may have been over six months since Mister Terrific disappeared but who knows how much ass play Karen was giving him. Now, I don't mind my own fingers or tongue touching assholes that I'm choosing for them to touch! But I don't want somebody else's asshole nasty fingers all over my ice cream cone!

While walking, a fortune teller named Zara gives them a quick fortune about darkness and pain and evil and crap. Does this fortune teller expect to make any tips spouting this kind of horribleness? She must have gone to the Madame Xanadu School for Downer Predictions.

Madame Xanadu: "Here's a list of end of the world disasters to use in your fortunes. Feel free to improvise and make up some of your own. Rain of flaming bunnies? Razor rain? Flesh termites? It doesn't matter what you say because it'll never come to pass! Just convince some schmuck that washing your dishes or massaging your neck will stop the apocalypse from coming and they'll never know the difference!"

Hey Jim Shooter?! What are your thoughts on this comic book so far?

Jim Shooter: "The layouts are precise with panels of the same size at equidistant measures from one another. And there's plenty of cheesecake which is fine if that's what DC wants to sell! I mean, just look at all the bosoms! There's like six or seven of them on every page! This might be the best comic of The New 52 so far! But I'd expect that from Paul Levitz. He learned the business when the business was something worth learning! These kids today have never heard of a straight edge! Have you seen that Kenny Rocafort's layouts? What the fuck is that kid on?! Bathtime salts?!"

Meanwhile Desaad is busy congealing more warriors for his Kill the Wonder Girls Campaign. He also admits that he's trapped on Earth Prime with no way back to his Man-Husband, Darkseid. For five years, Desaad has had to go without a rip-roaring good Omega Effect. That poor creature must be ready to explode.

I guess some time passes by the very next page when Desaad's men attack a Starr Industries building in Oxford. I'm assuming this because Desaad's three warriors have finished congealing and now they're full fledged parademons! And I guess that's bad jelly beans because Power Girl finally seems a bit worried about where all of this Apokoliptian stuff is headed.

You just have to marvel at the tensile strength of that boob window.

Power Girl beats the deformed turds out of the Parademons but one of them gets away and goes after Helen, dragging her through a Boom Tube. Power Girl follows. Be with us next time for "Two Boobs are better than Boom Tubes" or "Desaad Truth."

Worlds' Finest #14 Rating: +1 Ranking because they looked so cute while walking about Woodstock.

Worlds' Finest #13

The Huntress should have gone with the name Boxing Helena because I can't stop objectifying Power Girl.

In celebration of Flag Day, I thought I'd list some of my childhood heroes. Charles Nelson Reilly was one of my favorite people when I was six or seven. I used to watch the Match Game because everybody on the show was having a good time, so it had to be funny even though the sexual innuendo, which was most of the show, blew right past me. Gene Rayburn would have to be on the list too. I probably liked older men because my father wasn't really in my life but I saw my grandfather every day. And he was one of the sweetest, kindest people I'll ever have had the chance to know. I also, at about five or six, used to walk around the block every day with another old neighbor who died not long after that.

Let's see, Scatman Crothers was a hero of mine as well. I loved Hong Kong Phooey although I probably didn't know that was Crothers at the time. When I was eight or nine years old, my favorite movie in the world was Scavenger Hunt which featured both Scatman Crothers and, another hero, Roddy McDowall. I think I had seen The Shining before seeing Scavenger Hunt since Scatman Crothers role in that movie as friend and guardian of Danny would have been a major reason for me bonding with him.

Runners up in the desperate need for a male role model in my life go to Garrett Morris and Father Guido Sarducci and Richard Mulligan. The best part about connecting with certain celebrities when you're a kid is that you really can't explain why you had that connection. But that's my list: Charles Nelson Reilly, Gene Rayburn, Scatman Crothers, Roddy McDowall, Garrett Morris, Father Guido Sarducci, and Richard Mulligan. I have no idea how many of those names will mean anything to the younger people just wanting to read about The New 52. But there you go! Happy Flag Day!

Oh my God! I can't believe I forgot Art Carney! Big time love for that guy! I probably watched Going in Style a hundred times as a kid. Sheesh, what the fuck was wrong with me?

Here's a picture of Power Girl desperately trying to get her spine to work with her on her Boobs and Butt Showcase to distract you from wondering why I wrote all that shit about Flag Day and people I looked up to as a kid.

The Huntress and Power Girl are currently engaged in some legally spotty investigation of the Securities and Exchange Commission to figure out how Holt Industries made a hostile takeover of Starr Industries. I think it should be Starr Enterprises especially since two companies with "Industries" in their name is just confusing. Maybe it was simply a clerical error that caused the two companies to merge? Or maybe when Karen said to Michael, "Hey, Michael, you want to merge?", he thought she was talking about business. Karen was probably wondering why she had to sign all of those forms just to see Mister Terrific's cock.

Maybe this is why I brought up all of that other stuff earlier. Because I would later read Power Girl saying "scavenger hunt."

Before Helena and Karen can make a break for it with the files they came for, an enormous Apokodog comes crashing through the wall. And it has one of those collars from that movie with the sad old man and the balloons that lets the dog speak! It says, "Stupid girl." What the hell is wrong with that dog? Dogs are supposed to be jovial and happy and loaded with cripplingly low self-esteem. They aren't supposed to be insulting and angry! I guess a dog's attitude really does depend on how it was brought up. And this dog was brought up on Apokolips. In the immortal words of Stanley Martin Lieber, "'Nuff said."

Power Girl and The Huntress choose to run. Again. That's their best move! And I'm actually glad it is. Too many heroes run around with that cocky arrogance that really just masks a martyr complex. I like that these girls do what needs to get done and run when running needs to be run.

Meanwhile in another part of Earth Prime, Desaad learns that his Sniffer has picked up the trail of Power Girl. Oh! I bet the Apokodog is called Sniffer! And he's desperately trying to shove his nose into Power Girl's crotch. But Power Girl and The Huntress have retreated to one of Helena's safe houses in Alexandria, Virginia.

Where they enjoy some tea and cat food.

Obviously Sniffer crashes through the wall on the next page. I hope I didn't sound too pretentious with that whole 'obviously' bit. But come on! All the clues were there! They mentioned being in a safe house which meant they weren't safe. They were eating cat food. They were having a quiet moment over tea. The comic book wasn't over yet. These are all subtle clues that a Master Comic Book Reader never misses!

During the fight, The Huntress gets a concussion. At least I assume she gets a concussion since she says, "How he'd find us so fast?" And that doesn't make a lot of sense in my non-concussed brain!

Oh yeah. Someone get that girl to a doctor.

Now that Sniffer has found Power Girl, Desaad sends Hakkou #2, Marbury, to catch up to Sniffer and his prey. From the equipment Power Girl stole from Michael Holt, Desaad realizes she must be from Earth 2 and is looking for a way back. Even though Apokolips seems to be from its own little pocket dimension with Boom Tube access to other dimensions, it looks like Desaad is stuck on Earth Prime without the proper technology to get himself back to either Earth 2 (where he might think the war ended in Darkseid's favor) or Apokolips.

Since Power Girl can't beat Sniffer into submission, Helena comes up with a plan to defeat it. She just thinks, "WWMFD?" Most people would think "WWBD?" but since Batman is her father, she gets to think it differently. Anyway, her plan works and the issue ends!

RIP Sniffer.

Worlds' Finest #13 Rating: No change. This issue left me with so many questions. What was that pink crap they were eating over tea? Was it cotton candy? Shrimp cocktail? Steak tartare? Caviar? Pig vomit? I guess that was just one question restated many times. This issue left me with one question.
