More than meets the eye? Really, Transformers. Really?

Advert for shape changing cars from 1972 inside Jack Kirby's The Demon #1. I suppose they were a shitty toy with a great tag line! They even set it in bold they were so happy about it. And it was great since it lived longer than the toys!

    Yeah I know right? I saw this same ad in similar older comics as well from that time period, and quickly thought they must be like the distant grandfather's of Transformers. These crappy toys were doomed to fail since they hadn't perfected the idea and execution of a true transforming car/vehicle.

    Crazy coincidence though huh?
