Cyborg #7

This cover nails exactly how disappointingly mediocre this issue actually is!

Rating: -2 Ranking.

Oh! Guess what just happened in the pages of Cyborg?! The government has decided Cyborg is a dangerous threat to the public! Also they came up with a bunch of comic book bullshit which boils down to "the government owns Cyborg." So not only does this issue pull the most boring twist in comic books by turning the hero into the government bad guy, it also makes no sense in any other way at all! But at least it maintained its mediocrity by having an emotionless reunion between Victor and his "mother" which pulled at no heart strings of mine at all. It's also possible I have no strings and/or heart.

I'm sorry, DC. I know you really, really want Cyborg to become one of your standout characters but you're going to have to do a lot better than this. First stop deluding yourselves and realize that ultimately Cyborg is a boring character. Start from there! What do you do when you have a boring character? That's right! Brave and the Bold style team-ups! Let's get Jonah Hex in this thing! Then after a few issues, kill off Cyborg and change the title to Jonah Hex! I can smell the cash register ching-ching-chinging now! I mean hear it!
