Demon Knights #12

I think I'm in love! Not with Etrigan!

One of the questions I asked last commentary was: Does Stormwatch's Shadow Council meet in Avalon? Stormwatch #12 answered that question! They do! They do! It also has me believing that the current Shadow Council is actually the members of Planetary. I'm crossing my fingers for that one!

Anyway, the Companions have finally found their way into the Dark Tower of Black Magic in Camelot guarding the way to Avalon. And guarding the Dark Tower is Morgaine le Fey! I'm pretty certain that she's Xanadu's sister. I think it was explicitly mentioned last issue and that was why Xanadu was unaffected by the black magic. Even if Morgaine is a super powerful fairy witch, I can't see how she's going to defeat the seven companions and King Arthur! She'd have to be some kind of super powerful fairy black magic voodoo lich!

Madame Xanadu recognizes that the entirety of Camelot has been shoved into the space within the tower. Sort of like a Police Box but different. King Arthur believes he can lead the way to the top of the tower where Merlin's chambers used to be and where he believes they'll find le Fey. Etrigan calls Arthur a hound and all Arthur's Tumblr Followers The Shining Knight takes offense.

Etrigan is whispering, "...I still need your aid a little while--until I give Lucifer Avalon. And all of you." I wasn't sure his words would show through since he's being barely audible. Reading comics, if you've got bad eyesight, you're mostly deaf.

The Companions begin a typical mother's dining room table dungeon crawl. The first room they explore contains the Round Table.

"I loot the bodies!"

One of the corpses attached to the Round Table is one of Xanadu's sisters, a lady of the lake. But the real problem turns out to be some strange energy sapping the life force from the Companions. They attempt to retreat from the Tower but are stopped by a really unlucky wandering monster roll.

"I rolled on the Wandering Monster Chart and the result was 'All of them!'"

The Shining Knight believes that if they can just get past a giant bear blocking the exit, they'll be able to escape! But apparently the bear is a new kind of Gas Spore that looks like a bear instead of a beholder because upon stabbing it, it explodes and fills the room with toxic fumes. The Companions quickly lose consciousness. And before I turn the page, I assume they're all going to be eaten by the rest of the monsters. Right?

The Companions awaken upon strapped to some kind of mystical carnival ride.

I really like the little voodoo-y dolls on the spell book.

Since the Companions are all strapped to the wall, Morgaine decides it couldn't hurt anyone to give her entire plot away, right? What could go wrong when the Super Villain can't hold her tongue? Look! They're all stuck to the wall! So she tells them that she turned Camelot into a freakshow filled with dark magics to lure Merlin back to investigate. She wasn't expecting him to be dead but she seems to think that's to her advantage. She even feels she has a little time to catch up with her sister before she starts in on her plan with Merlin's corpse.

She is a lich!

Morgaine's entire plan was to lure Merlin into the tower where her spells would drain his mind. Then she would be able to take over his body and be respected and loved and all-powerful!

I really like that Morgaine had a plan that was different from what actually happened. How many times does that actually happen in a comic book? It's almost always, "I knew that was going to happen!" and "You fell right into my trap!" and "I'm Harvest and everything that happens I planned for (except when Beast Boy escaped. One flaw!)." And because things turned out differently, she adapts and changes her plan. I really like seeing that in a story. The villain can't always know every fucking random thing that's going to happen.

Morgaine has now decided to use the life forces and powers of the Companions to make Merlin's body even more powerful. And since Merlin is dead, she doesn't have to worry about destroying his mind. Perhaps it's time for Jason Blood to arrive! Maybe transforming from Etrigan to Blood will screw up the life-sucking magic hurdy-gurdy gizmo.

Morgaine leaves and shuts up the room since everything within the room will die as the life force is added to Merlin's power. Vandal Savage has possibly the best reaction ever to his predicament.

I wonder if Vandal Savage has ever encountered Orlando?

Etrigan comes up with the plan to turn into Blood because of the fires of hell that accompany the switch.

No! He destroyed the precious little dolls!

Morgaine awaits the life to return to Merlin's body but it never happens. She discovers why when the Companions break in to her chambers to stop her. She tries to possess Xanadu but Arthur dives in front of the spell. Morgaine's body falls lifeless as Arthur struggles to remain in control of his body.

Ystin is of the Two Camelots, the feminine and the masculine.

Once the gem is destroyed, Arthur returns to Avalon as does, possibly, Morgaine. The tower crumbles since it was simply held together by Morgaine's magic. The Companions drag themselves from out of the rubble, still toting Merlin's lifeless body. Now how are they going to get to Avalon?

Well, Xanadu still knows the way. They just take a boat across the...oh. Never mind! The way to Avalon has disappeared! Xanadu knows no other way to get there which really pisses off Etrigan since he's got a deal with Lucifer that he wants to make good on. Now that he thinks he can never get to Avalon, he decides to at least give Lucifer the souls of his Companions.

What a jerk!

Demon Knights #12 Rating: +1 Ranking. Once again, gorgeous artwork and a fun story.

Deathstroke #12

Has Liefeld been given the go ahead to kill Deathstroke? Because Lobo isn't going to die in this fight.

Last issue, Deathstroke was ready to die. I should probably just let him retell it in his Diary.

I'm going to guess that since Deathstroke is alive to write this Diary entry, he's going to survive the battle with Lobo.

Since Deathstroke is narrating current action in his diary, I guess he's writing it as he goes. So maybe he will die!

Deathstroke kicks Lobo in the balls which causes Lobo to let go of him. I think Slade found his weakness! Two thermal detonators barely fazed him but a kick in the nuts staggers him! Deathstroke gets away and jumps into the hole that leads to the center of the Earth where Lobo is going to drop the bomb. I think. Anyway, here's a picture of Lobo's fat face.

Lobo doesn't pursue Deathstroke since the whole world will be blown up in a few minutes anyway. But finally Tigorr of the Omega Men attacks Lobo! Don't you think a coordinated effort would have been better? I don't think Liefeld should be allowed to draw a team comic. He should have just stuck to Deathstroke and not added the Omega Men in the mix. Especially since it was already set up that Deathstroke doesn't like to work with anyone. But now that he is working with a team, the team is just standing back and waiting in line to attack Lobo.

So Lobo defeats Tigorr because even the Omega Men can't work together. Also, the inker has no idea that Lobo's beard and sideburns are the same color as his hair. So Lobo's face just looks furry and fat.

That's about the best hand Liefeld can do.

After Tigorr is defeated, it's Primus's turn!

Liefeld's horrible art and writing side by side!

I'm only a few pages in and this comic is painful. I think I should concentrate on scanning a lot of bad Liefeld art and throwing down a synopsis since I'm not in the mood for delving into this shit mine.

Primus used his telekinesis to break Lobo out of prison. After that, they were able to track Lobo to The Starpoint which Primus is going to use to escape Earth. Right after he, you know, makes Lobo's head explode. But Zealot isn't very happy that Primus helped Lobo escape.

Liefeld really took a risk here and drew one sword without a guard! Maybe he only adds the guard after fucking up the hand. Plus he really nailed the female body shape!

Lobo knocks out Primus while Zealot attacks. And then Deathstroke reappears from wherever he went. I guess he went down to Lobo's motorcycle garage.

How is a spike through Lobo's chest better than blowing off half of his face (which didn't work)?

Deathstork Deathstroke takes the cycle high up into the atmosphere with Lobo on the front. Lobo finally climbs off the front and they punch each other a few times. Deathstroke begins writing in his journal again (unless he's just Narration Boxing (possibly simply thinking but the tenses are all wrong and fucked up)) describing how difficult this last maneuver is going to be. The last maneuver is simply sticking his last thermal detonator on the hog. Deathstroke made it much more difficult than it needed to be. But he does have his mask on as he plants the detonator and drops off the hog. Only to have lost his mask for no reason except to show his gritting teeth a few panels later.

All the gritting teeth for the first 14 pages. I haven't read the final 6 yet but I'm sure I'd be able to add at least half a dozen more.

Once Deathstroke begins free falling to safety, Lobo's hog (and Lobo!) blow up! Even though two detonators couldn't totally destroy Lobo, Deathstroke is counting on the super premium alien diesel fuel loaded in the Space Hog to finish the job and make a hell of an explosion. Or maybe the hog runs on nuclear fuel! That's even better. Whatever the process, it's a big explosion and Deathstroke believes that Lobo's healing factor won't be a factor since he's now scattered all over the Earth. Oh, Slade. So naive!

Slade has a jetpack to enable him to get to the ground safely. While he's flying down, he thinks about how he beat Lobo.

Oh, that's interesting! I seem to recall Deathstroke believing something else last issue:

I think Deathstroke just outwitted himself!

I love it when old assassins quote The A-Team!

Deathstroke is a little pissed off that Primus was the one to release Lobo. He intends for Primus to pay for his part in Lobo's murder spree. But Deathstroke also agrees that Primus had every right to want to escape the control of The Company. Deathstroke meets with Maxim, the leader of The Company and has a few words with him. After punching him in the jaw, of course.

Kyle Higgins was setting Deathstroke up to be a fairly amoral mercenary. But Liefeld seems to want Deathstroke to be a little more heroic.

Or maybe Deathstroke is just horny and wants to impress the lady!

How much more? Details!

Deathstroke's Alfred, Lord Peabody, is waiting nearby to take him home. I guess Slade must have a GPS tracer on him at all times and Peabody drives around the country in his limousine waiting for Slade in case he needs a lift home.

He means Zealot's vagina!

And then the epilogue which is kind of disappointing because I wanted Sheba to be the Czarnian Red Lantern. I'm beginning to think the Red Lantern Czarnian was an artist's mistake and she'll just disappear eventually. Oh well, here's the big surprise epilogue money shot.

Now that would be a somewhat decent Reboot of Lobo for The New 52. Leave the male Czarnian dead and keep Sheba around as DC's new big bad-ass. But please give her a different personality and don't just make her Lobo with ovaries.

Deathstroke #12 Rating: -2 Ranking. I've got to drop this comic two ranks. One for the horrible writing and one for the horrible art. Although I really wouldn't mind if Lobo were actually dead and Sheba takes over his role. Not his personality though! I'm afraid that's all that's going to happen. "Feetal's gizz, my tits itch!"

Suicide Squad #12

I probably won't believe it because it probably won't make any sense! It'll probably be the Belle Reve inmate on page 12 of Issue four that only had a minor cameo up until now.

Last issue, the entire Squad was about to be sacrificed by some lost tribe of the Yucatan.

Oh Harley!

Here's what I don't understand. Harley Quinn lost a ton of fans because DC changed her outfit. They all flipped out and said DC ruined Harley. What a bunch of shallow, judgmental slut shamers! Harley is still Harley if she's still written as Harley! Stop judging the poor girl by her new outfit! And then their heads exploded when the figurine of Harley came out where she's smashing her old suit under her hammer.

Shallow, Narcissistic Fan: "Oh my God! Did you see how DC just slapped all the real Harley Quinn fans in the face by having her smash her old outfit?! That's like they're just screaming fuck you at us and rubbing our noses in it!"
Slut Shaming Hater: "I know! They turned her into a fucking whore! She doesn't have to show that much skin to be sexy!"
Shallow, Narcissistic Fan: "Yeah! How could they do this to me? I'm not reading anything else with Harley in it ever again even though she has always been my favorite!"
Harley Fan Who Betrays All Other Harley Fans: "Hey, did you guys read the newest issue of Suicide Squad? Harley was so fucking cute and wacky and funny!"
Slut Shaming Hater: "OH FUCK YOU! That's not really Harley! She looks different!"

Now that fictional dialogue is totally different than when I read Ravagers #3 and said, "What the fuck?! Brother Blood is supposed to have a white cape not a red cape!? What a travesty!" But really, it is different because Brother Blood is being written like a spoiled fifteen year old. Harley is still being written like Harley. Well, maybe she's a little bitter because Mister J went off and left her in jail. And of course she's not going to be exactly the same as the Harley Quinn portrayed in the younger kids comics like Batman Adventures! A costume does not make the character, people.

Here's what's really great about DC's fans. Harley's costume is a bit more risque and everyone freaks out. Then they cover up Power Girl's boobs on her costume and everybody freaks out. It's as if they're already old people who can't handle any change!

Back to the island and away from my digression, Deadshot and Black Spider begin bickering while hanging upside down. Deadshot is whining and Black Spider tells him to shut up and think of a way to escape. This causes Deadshot to point out that that was what he was trying to do before they were all drugged but Black Spider ignored him. Which causes Black Spider to snap back at Deadshot. But before they start in on the Your Momma jokes, Harley breaks it up.

Is it wrong for me to feel slightly aroused thinking about Harley Quinn watching me pee?

None of the Squad can think of a way out. Their best plan relies on the knife breaking when the priest tries to cut out King Shark's heart. I guess El Diablo is still to drugged up to set everyone on fire, otherwise that would be a pretty good escape plan. Instead, a team of Basilisk soldiers descend on the ziggurat and shoot up all the tribesmen. I'm pretty sure the leader of the Basilisk team is the traitor that infiltrated the Suicide Squad. And it makes sense even though I really expected it to be an original member (original to the New 52 group! Not the Ostrander 1980s group!).

Although he wasn't in Seattle to poison the Basilisk operative. Unless he was poisoned with some kind of slow acting poison!

Captain Boomerang was last seen being traded to Basilisk for a scientist Waller wanted to work on her Samsara project. Boomerang was probably sent by Basilisk to infiltrate the Squad and then found himself being shuffled back to Basilisk on his first mission. I should have guessed it was Captain Boomerang since he was also the mystery pie thrower in Ostrander's run of Suicide Squad! That was kind of like being a traitor!

Captain Boomerang hauls his new captives through the jungle to the Ziggurat of Regulus! It seems a bit weird that Regulus has his headquarters here in the Yucatan when Black Spider was busy searching for him in Gotham. That's pretty crappy information Black Spider was working with.

Even Regulus is unsure if he's Regulus. Maybe Regulus is a myth!

Regulus forces Harley to kneel and Black Spider notices he uses some form of hypnosis to get the drop on her. But when Black Spider attacks, Regulus shows him that he's just as fast without hypnotizing anybody. Black Spider ends up smashed against a wall. Regulus really should have just did a capture and release. Also, when I say smashed, I don't mean dead. I'll make it perfectly clear when one of the Suicide Squad dies! It's been a long while! Then Regulus notices Deadshot and makes a huge mistake.

Don't bring Lawton's family into this (his little girl, in this case) unless you want to end up on his list of people who are going to die before Lawton does. I sometimes think the only thing keeping Lawton from putting a bullet in his own head is the list of people that need to die first.

The entire inside of the ziggurat is a concentration camp. Regulus kills one of the captives and threatens to kill more if El Diablo and Iceberg don't put their powers away and remain calm. He offers them the choice to join Basilisk or die. He sends them to their cells to think it over awhile. Boomer escorts them back and begins talking shit to Deadshot. This, of course, leads to a physical violence between the two of them.

Of course he finishes "with both hands behind my backs." And I believe he could do it.

Except halfway through the fight, Boomerang smashes Deadshot's chains and tells him to start shooting.

He still might be the traitor! Except I'd still rather that Lawton was the traitor. That still makes the most sense.

Boomerang leads the team up to Regulus's tower where he's currently meditating with all of his top men. Once they get there, Boomerang is taken out by an electrical charge. And the real traitor shows himself.

Well, it was between him and Deadshot. Here's my quote from back when it was revealed the traitor had to commit a high profile crime and be in prison before Task Force X began: "Of these five, it would seem only Deadshot and Black Spider could be the assassin. And I think Black Spider isn’t a criminal. Although he could have done some vigilante thing that got him put in prison. He’s probably more of the guy the reader wouldn’t expect than Deadshot because he’s supposed to be a good guy. I guess we’ll find out who it is when they fail to kill Amanda Waller!"

So, it turns out I would believe who the traitor was! Even though I really wanted it to be Deadshot. But I guess if it were Deadshot, he wouldn't get to be a part of the Squad once he betrayed everyone. And since he's an integral member, I guess I'm glad it wasn't him!

What Black Spider is talking about at the end of the above scanned page is that he has some sleeper agents on the team. He says, "Sasparillo!" and El Diablo, Iceberg and King Shark switch sides to fight with Black Spider. Oh no! How is Deadshot going to kill them all with just one bullet left? Maybe Harley can tell a knock knock joke to distract them and then when they're not laughing (because knock knock jokes are never funny. Except for the one I made up in my commentary on Detective Comics #10!

These two need their own Brave and the Bold style team-up book. Their theme song could be Alice Cooper's Desperado. "I'm a killer!" "I'm a clown!"

Meanwhile back in Louisiana, the second part of Basilisk's Traitor Program has been put in effect.

Uh oh! It looks like the original Amanda Waller is going to be killed!

Suicide Squad #12 Rating: +2 Ranking. Suicide Squad is really finding its groove. I hope Yo Yo is in Amanda Waller's pocket and he'll save Waller's Nana! Although Waller doesn't need someone else to help out since she's on Team Seven. That must mean she's pretty bad-ass.

Superboy #12

Aha! Things are looking very slightly better! Tom DeFalco is now writing Superboy instead of Scott Lobdell. One less comic book written by Lobdell (even if DeFalco is taking over) is one less comic book written by Scott Lobdell!

Last issue, Superboy received a Superman Logo tattoo from a tattoo parlor run by Kobra. At least that's my speculation. Does Superboy have healing powers or can he just take a really good beating? If a super hero does have healing powers, can they keep a tattoo? Or a piercing? Or scarification? What about a vasectomy? Wouldn't that heal up as well? Can a hero with regenerative abilities get cancer? I'd imagine so and then it would just explode out of control, right?

This actually passes as an acceptable first page in a comic book:

What kind of a writer wastes this much space? So much more can be done on this page. And it can be done so much better so that the whole leading Narration Boxing thing doesn't make you think he's setting up a joke. It could actually be done so it seems like someone is really threatening him.

This is where comics have begun to fail. Instead of using the medium to take advantage of the way it can portray time, writers are now just writing inner monologues and plastering them on static pictures of characters. Scott McCloud is probably weeping across several panels while the tears falling from his eyes drip down across the page until they splash in the lower right corner.

I don't know what's pounding on Superboy's door here. My guess is it's an angry woman whom he went on a single date with and he never called her back. Or maybe it's Wonder Girl just stopping by to tell him how cute he is before she scolds him for trying to kill her.

Or not. And who would ever say, "It's not like you were raised in a test tube"?

I actually think his tactile telekinesis could help him out here. He seems to learn everything else when he uses it. It would seem the easiest thing in the world to learn how to dance since he's already touching her. I'm sure if I wasn't so lazy, I could march into the house, dig out the last eleven issues of Superboy and find examples where he used his tactile telekinesis to learn the moves of his foes. Normally I would call Superboy a stupid jerk here but he still just has the mind of a six month old, so I'll give him a pass this time.

Last issue, Superboy went out on a date with Bunker. This time, he's out on a date with some woman named Dallas. I guess Superboy is trying to figure out what he likes.

During Superboy's big night out, he flashes back to last issue where Bunker tells him stealing is wrong.

I make typos and drop words occasionally as well. But then I'm not asking you to pay me $2.99 for reading my crap. I'm also not paying editors to catch this kind of shit. Chris Conroy, DC Editor for Superboy, you suck.

The scene is revisited so that Tom DeFalco can show Superboy saying that he should probably return the money. Either DeFalco or some editor at DC probably didn't think it was right to have Superboy begin life as a bank robber. Of course he still hasn't returned it. But at least he seems to think he should. Or he just wants Bunker to think he seems to think he possibly should think about returning it. It seems.

Back to the party, DeFalco manages to point out that Bunker knows how to pick fashionable clothes.

I wish he acted only a few months old.

While at the club, Superboy enjoys his first alcoholic beverage.

Superboy sounds like my girlfriend!

Well, Superboy, vomiting is the body's fail-safe. And I think it's good to test your fail-safe mechanism for a time when there is a real emergency! And the memory loss is an added benefit so you don't remember shitting in the bathtub and you can completely deny it. And the death, well, you know. Some people want the comfort of the grave but are too cowardly to enter it immediately. So they take the long, leisurely, wobbly stroll.

While Superboy is simply hanging out with his landlady (Dallas) and other people he barely knows, a woman named Kiva walks into the club. Superboy can feel she's trouble. And then Dallas takes off out the back door with Kiva following. Superboy tries to use his Telekinesis to stop Kiva but it doesn't work. It simply creates some kind of feedback that knocks Superboy over. So he follows them to the back alley where Kiva is demanding her money.

Superboy tries to protect Dallas but Kiva screams that she's "THE MISTRESS OF THE LOST DOMAIN" and things get all wonky. Superboy suddenly finds himself flipping back and forth between the alley with the two bodyguards and a strange landscape where the bodyguards are actually demons. At first he's no match for them but then he uses his Telekinesis to vomit up the alcohol and then he fights much better. But then Kiva eats him.

Too bad Superboy didn't wait to expel the alcohol. He could have gotten Kali drunk with it and then she'd vomit him out.

Once Superboy has metaphorically been swallowed, he realizes Kali is using his own powers against him. He lets go, surrenders, and opens up to her. Once Kali can see inside him completely, she screams and goes catatonic. Superboy wins because his soul is disgusting! Yay!

Meanwhile in the epilogue, Detective Jocelyn Lure has been keeping an eye on him with some super futuristic equipment. Now she thinks it's time to either help Superboy become the hero he should be or stop him once and for all.

Superboy #12 Rating: No change. Once again grading on a curve, Superboy is getting better. Just slightly. Just incrementally enough to maintain its crappy position in the ranks.

Resurrection Man #12

Look, it's the last issue. Shocking truth is fine. But changes everything? Who cares since all that changed shit will just sit there wishing Issue #13 would come along so its story could be told.

Mitch Shelley has finally been captured by Hooker and the Body Doubles. I hope this issue simply takes place in a nice lounge where Hooker and Mitch enjoy some Earl Grey while Hooker explains everything. And then once Mitch finds out what it has all meant, the Angel and the Devil will appear and call odds/evens to win Mitch's super expensive soul.

Since this issue begins with Mitch Shelley suddenly resurrected in mid-air in Gotham City, maybe this issue will also explains why he sometimes resurrects in Gotham City when that makes no sense at all!

Mitch is shot and killed by the Gotham City Police Department who issue their first warning the only way they know how.

Yes, shooting a suspect in the chest is their first and final warning.

After Mithc is killed and falls to the ground, he's attacked by Batman. That seems like a chump move, Bats. I'm beginning to suspect that Mitch isn't really in Gotham. I think he's inside some kind of testing chamber in his old Lab and Hooker is fucking with the dials.

Oh look. I'm right again. Even I'm getting bored with myself.

Simply because Batman attacked Mitch after Mitch fell to his death, I knew something was up and called it. But then I turned the page and Batman was happy he brought back-up, The Justice League. And Aquaman killed Mitch with the trident. And Batman didn't pitch a fit. So then I knew they were in some kind of simulation. But the way the comic ended last issue, a simulation seemed the most obvious guess. The real question is: Has this simulation been going on during the entire comic book run? Because that would "change everything."

The Transhuman is watching the Virtual Reality simulations on a monitor. It looks like pretty good television! But the Transhuman has a minor problem with it, even though he is a super villain.

I guess Mitch Shelley is the holy grail because he gets super powers. I think the Body Doubles would really be what Hooker was looking for. While Mitch gets super powers, he can still die, and that's a disadvantage. But the Body Doubles can't even die because their regeneration kicks in so quickly.

Hooker's plan is to kill Mitch over and over again in the simulator and then test all of his powers. They can judge the readouts and analyze the "tektites" so that maybe they can replicate each of Shelley's powers on other soldiers. But this entire process will eventually kill him. And, naturally, Hooker tells all of this to the Transhuman. I guess since the Transhuman just seems like an 18 year old old man, it seems safe enough.

But it's not safe! The bad guy should always realize it's never safe to explain yourself! Although, Hooker might not think of himself as the bad guy. And he might think his plan of destroying Shelley for knowledge sounds reasonable to other people.

The Transhuman enters the virtual reality simulator via his super duper technological mumbo jumbo and pulls Mitch out. Rebecki has the lab rats covered with a blaster. But Hooker, knowing he can't die (although he can't heal either! So maybe he should actually be careful?), charges Rebecki. He takes a few laser blasts to the chest.

Those holes are going to look nice. I think I'd stick fish bowls in them.

Mitch knows the bullets won't kill Hooker but Mitch can. He uses his lava man powers to destroy most of Hooker's body. Hooker is thankful to finally be able to die. I don't know what that's about! If I ever think dying is better than living, even on my death bed, somebody please slap me. Notice I didn't say "kill me" for stupid comic effect because someone would take that seriously. Just slap me. And be gentle about it. Maybe use your boobies.

Now Kim, Mitch, and Darryl the Transhuman just need to escape the lab.

NOOOOOOOOOO! First Korean Friend in G.I. Combat and now Transhuman! Two of my favorite characters in DC! I hope that doesn't mean Batgirl's roommate, Alysia, is going to die next! I couldn't stand it.

The person who just murdered Transhuman is in a gigantic suit of armor created by the Transhuman himself. And he has the Body Doubles for backup. And since Hooker is dead and this guy is bitching about having to come down to take care of everything himself and this is a comic book and there is only one big twist like this that comic book writers can pull out of their hats, it means the guy in the armor is Mitch Shelley.

Ta da! I'll be here all month!

Resurrection Man #12 Rating: No change. I almost gave this comic a +1 Ranking and then I remembered that until Andy and Dan explained why Mitch appeared in a Gotham ambulance headed toward Arkham after he resurrected after being cremated in Portland, I promised to reduce the ranking I gave this comic by one. So, they failed again. The Virtual Reality thing almost solved it. Or maybe it did solve it! I still don't know that any of this is real yet!

Oh yeah. The comic will be resolved in Issue #0.
