Batwing #5

Who needs Batwing if Batman is going to keep showing up?

Batwing #5 begins in the past. AGAIN! A nice little trip down memory lane where David (Batwing) burnt some poor helpless villager alive at the command of his General. That's the General that killed Isaac (except he didn't actually kill him as we'll see as soon as the comic returns to the present) and that David killed. Or left to die at the hands of his enemies. Pretty much the same thing.

Batman and David are working security for a new museum that's about to open. The Kingdom's old headquarters, The Citadel, is being revamped into a museum dedicated to Africa's greatest super group. David is patrolling in his human persona. Batman is probably hiding in shadows somewhere inside waiting to show himself at the most dramatic moment.

Oh, forget that. Batman is being Bruce Wayne! He's one of the bigwigs with money behind the project. So when trouble starts, five or six people will probably die before these jerks can change into their costumes.

Except when all hell breaks loose, Batwing and Batman find somewhere to hide and change costumes quicker than one terrorist can discharge a full clip. Amazing! It must be some kind of Batman, Inc, Franchise Secret. Like the Colonel's 11 herbs and spices. Unless there are 12.

Batman and Batwing fight side by side like the cover says. In two panels. Yes. TWO PANELS! That's a slap in the face to any Batman fan picking up this title because Batman makes an appearance. But really, I don't have any sympathy for someone picking up a book because of what the cover shows! It's always just a big lie!

Here's one of the panels where they fight side by side. This comic is full of silhouette panels. Lazy or artistic? You make the stupid call.

Batwing and Batman fight a bunch of people in Massacre masks only to realize that the thugs are simply trying to get everyone clear of The Citadel. And once they're clear, one of them makes a phone call and the Citadel is brought to the ground in a huge explosion.

Batwing beats the crap out of the guy with the phone and then hits redial and has his techie in the Hawaiian shirts trace it. The call is coming from Giza. Which means next issue, Issue #6, we are finally going to return to the present! Sheesh. Even though the comic book, yet again, began telling the reader it was Today!

No, not today! One week ago!

This book is taken a long time building up to the big revelation that Massacre is really Isaac even though everyone guess it three issues ago! It's taking it's time but not in a good way or horrible way. Just an average way. I like when stories don't rush. But at only 20 pages per comic and a mere four panels per page average (if that!), it needs to step up the pace a little more. Don't forget the fans are paying for this and when you waste an issue with slow pacing, they're not going to stick around for long. DC needs to just drop four pages of their own ads for other comics and get their writers and artists used to doing four more fucking pages of work each month. And drop the other DC ads for ads that are paying money! That'll help out too! Do I have to come over there and run this fucking company for you?

Batgirl #5

I hope she's interesting as well.

I thought it was a good thing I was doing these blogs because it's been at least a month now since I've read Batgirl #4. So I did a quick refresher and saw that Batgirl #4 ended with Batgirl's mom coming to the door. I'd forgotten all about that! But now that I'm caught up, it won't surprise me when the comic begins with some strange woman speaking with Barbara.

That doesn't look like Barbara Gordon's mom!

But it doesn't immediately matter since Batgirl is flying over one of the bridges leading into Gotham. I don't know what she's swinging from. I don't know why she's in that pose while swinging. I don't know why she's only got one hand on her Batgirlrope! That seems awfully dangerous. But then I'm just a normal person and not a super hero. And I don't know what's causing the traffic problem down below on the bridge.

Well, good thing for my blogs keeping me informed!

Barbara does mention she doesn't believe in ghosts. "As a rule." Why do people make up rules for themselves? It's such a stodgy way to think of things. How about, "Philosophically speaking..." or maybe just drop the "As a rule" line. You can add the 'but' that's coming up with or without it!

I know, I know! Who am I to be giving fucking writing lessons to Gail Simone? I mean, I've never been a hair stylist with a feminist beef steak up my ass! Well, I've never been a hair stylist, anyway! But as a rule, I don't believe in rules.

So Batgirl swings down on this bridge where a crime family (seriously! It's one guy and his three sons!) are stopping vehicles and asking people to give them three dollars and thirty-eight cents. And they're ready to kill if they don't get it. So Batgirl swoops down and knocks out all the boys. But it looks like it's the father who is obsessed with the number 338. And probably the one she should have disarmed first (not that she could have known that).

That's one BLAM per son!

The old guy kills the others after Batgirl has subdued them. He probably should have shot Batgirl as well, the dumb old duffer. The old guy then jumps off the bridge but Batgirl lassos his ankle with her Batgirl-grappling hook. And as she tries to pull him up, Gretel shows up to punch her in the mouth. What a bitch!

What? She isn't worth a full page splash?

Gretel looks a little boring. White body suit. Knife in a back scabbard. Tool belt with one gun holstered on the side. Green hair. And that's it! I just described her full costume!

Gretel ends up being extra strong and resilient. So she beats up on Batgirl a bit and then freezes up to suck down some essence in the air. Perhaps the life force of the guys who were just killed? Who can tell? No time to explain! A man is about to fall to his death and there's only twenty pages of comic!

Holy batshit! How did I not see it before? Batman doesn't give a fuck about justice! Bruce Wayne buys up all the cheap shitty properties in the worst neighborhoods and then Batman cleans out the hoodlums and crazies! Then Bruce Wayne makes millions selling the properties in the newly livable area!

After the big bridge battle where a parent killed his children, the comic reverts to four hours ago where Barbara's parent came to her door.

The meeting doesn't go very well. Barbara's mom abandoned her and Commissioner Gordon when Babs was small. She left Gotham and can't tell Barbara why she had to go. So Barbara gets pissy and walks away. At least nobody started yelling, "338!", and started shooting people in the head. Also, the name of the coffee place they go to is Beantasm. I don't get it.

Oh no, no slant in this local news reporters reporting!

Barbara ends up watching some news and sees this bit. Now, the important part is she notices the building's address is 338. But the annoying part is this news reporter. Let me put my cards on the table if I haven't yet made it clear: I hate reporters. I hate local news. I hate 21st century journalism altogether. There are no heroes in the field. Most are just talking heads giving prepackaged speaking points. Local News is not about getting the opinions of people living across the street from the meth lab. How many times do you have to hear, "I always thought this was a safe neighborhood!" or "Yeah, I'm afraid to live here now." I long for the day a news reporter sticks a live mic in my face and I can just cunt up the motherfucking news.

Um, anyways, to this reporter in the comic book (you know, this fake one that Gail Simone invented!): Of course there are protestors! Stopping crime in an area of town is a good thing. And it should be done no matter what people's opinions of a neighborhood are. Crime doesn't just go away when you kick out all of the poor people paying lower rents to live in shitty apartments so that you can knock the apartments down and build condos. Crime and the poor people forced out just move to another neighborhood that the police don't give a shit about. But when all the new buildings and businesses move into this neighborhood, the cops suddenly care about patrolling and making themselves a presence. So yeah, there are protestors! Because this renovation is going to make a lot of people homeless or, at the very least, displaced to a worse neighborhood. So stop talking about it as 'obligatory' or that Wayne is making a 'symbolic gesture'. Fuck you, you stupid cunt. Look at me! Arguing with a comic book character! I hope mom and dad are proud!

Batgirl is only rated Teen but maybe I should rate this commentary Teen Plus!

On his way to the press event, Bruce Wayne's chauffeur, Tommy, starts blabbing about 338. He crashes the limo into one of Wayne's renovation sites and gets out to bash Bruce in the head with a pipe.

Yes. Please.

Batgirl beats up Tommy while Gretel looks on doing nothing. Except now she has pink hair. And after Batgirl knocks Tommy out, Gretel doesn't seem perturbed at all. Because Gretel has a back-up plan.

Can Batgirl defeat a brainwashed Bruce Wayne? Probably.

Both the story and the art in this comic are average. I don't feel like I'm really learning much about Batgirl other than the one thing that matters during a the storyline. So with The Mirror, the reader learns she's dealing with a certain amount of survivor's guilt. But it doesn't really affect her in any way. Maybe I (and the Mirror!) projected that on to her! But if she doesn't even have that, then the first story line was just, "Hey look! Batgirl's back!" And in this one, she believes in Bruce Wayne's plan to rebuild Gotham so that everyone in Gotham is happy and, at least, middle class! Also, she has parental issues!

The most interesting person in this comic right now is Barbara's roommate, Alysia!

My favorite Batgirl character!

Batgirl, you received a free pass for too long now because I wanted to like you more. Make the comic a little more fun and I'll really like it. As for now, you drop one rank.

Legion of Super-Heroes #4

It did not take a legion to take him down! It took two Legionnaires! That's all!

Renegade has been captured and incarcerated in this, um, uh, well, hmm....

In the year 3000, they put your dick in prison first.

Apparently the only way to keep a Daxamite chained is to stuff his penis into a space anchor and wrap his hands around his scrotum. And judging by the arm veins, the whole machine makes him masturbate constantly. There are probably space snakes inside this thing gnawing on his junk as well. Also the goggles that make him look at kittens and puppies while he gets off.

It's apparent to everyone that this really, really, really dangerous Daxamite is going to break free from his masturbation prison, so Element Lad decides it's time for a training session!

If Inertron is the strongest material in the universe but Renegade just broke it, doesn't that make Renegade the strongest material in the universe?

With Renegade now rampaging all over the place, Element Lad calmly talks Chemistry Kid through Biology 101: How to Shut Down an Organic's Vital Functions Via Chemical Processes. Chemical Kid slows down his carbohydrate catabolisms and his phototropisms and Renegade passes the fuck out. It's like an episode of House all of a sudden!

How does one utilize that power? How do you force a chemical reaction in someone to change speed? And if his power is to catalyze chemical reactions, how is he supposed to slow them down? Doesn't a catalyst just speed up a reaction? Or cause one to occur? But it doesn't slow one down?! I guess with 1800 Legionnaires, a few of them are going to have stupid powers but still not stupid enough to be in the Legion of Substitute Heroes.

Back on the Dominator's ship, Chameleon Boy decides acting like a Dominator might get him into too much trouble since he doesn't know their customs. So he changes into a fly and immediately sets off all of their alarms. Nice one, Daggle!

A squad of Legionnaires has headed off to Daxam to investigate what happened to Renegade and how he got his hands on the same Lead Immunization Potion that Mon El has. They discover that Renegade found some Kryptonite and the Daxamites have been experimenting with it. And Kryptonite is a restricted substance.

One thing they don't find are Lightning Lass's pants.

But figuring out the Kryptonite thing means that the potion Renegade was using would have eventually killed him, unlike Brainiac 5's Lead Immunization Potion. Chameleon Boy hides and reverts back to Dominator form and nobody notices. So that was a little bit of conflict that never went anywhere. And he gets a message to the rest of the Legionnaires that lets them know where the fleet is. The Legionnaires fly out, threaten the Dominators, tell them never to come back without permission, and watch them fly home humbled. Then the Legionnaires go back to Panoptes to get the rest of their friends and go home. First story arc over.

I guess I learned a little bit about the Legion of Super-heroes. Like how they take themselves too seriously. And the can all do amazing feats with their single limited stupid powers. And how I'm pretty sure I'd rather be reading about the Legion of Substitute Heroes instead! At least the Legion didn't get their asses beat three comics in a row simply to come back and win through in the fourth issue. They were pretty much successful the whole way through. With one tiny little setback before Mon El came to help them.

The comic is decent if you want to pass a little time before dying. But it really is bland. I hope something gets dramatic somewhere fast. Maybe I should be allowed to cancel a title or two?! I'd actually rather read Green Arrow because there's so much material to make fun of! Oh well. I'm done with the first four issues of all 52 titles. Finally! Now I've got, um, Issues 5-7. I don't think I'm making much headway.

Legion of Super-Heroes #3

The Dominators! I remember them from, oh, um, some crisis type crossover event from who knows when.

Yeah, so those penis ships are flown by the Dominators. The Dominators look like Gary Busey after head-butting Wesley Willis.

That's how you correctly spell lose, Internet.

And it's what the Dominators do almost immediately! The don't shoot one Legionnaire and they lose three ships alone to a girl who can become intangible. The Dominators apparently used the Death Star Construction Manual when making their ships because Phantom Girl only had to touch the ship in exactly the right place and the thing would blow up. And then Polar Pal simply had to touch the hull and funnel an Absolute Zero Cold Wave through the ship's circuitry to blow it up. Oh! And even the new kid, Chemical Dude, was able to blow up a ship or two by simply making it's fuel reaction speed up. Those stupid Dominators ended up retreating with Chameleon Boy stowed away inside one ship. Unless he was just placing a tracking doodad on board.

And the Bad Daxamite is defeated by Mon El, the good Daxamite, when Shadow Lass covers them over in her absolute darkness power. It turns out Shadow Lass is Mon El's ex-girlfriend, so he has an advantage when fighting in darkness.

Mon El fucked him into unconsciousness?

That issue was a quick read because it was mostly battle. What was most interesting about this fight with the Dominators and their war fleet was the way the Legionnaires never worked together to fight the ships. Each one acted completely alone to fight one ship at a time. In most comic books, this would mean the team would lose until they learned to work together. But in this comic, they were just showing off the way each Legionnaire's stupid power could be used to their advantage. The Dominators were just used to showcase the Legionnaire's abilities! I hope they're pissed!

It actually took more teamwork to take care of one Daxamite than the amount it took to defeat all the Dominator Warships. Maybe every time a ship was destroyed, I was supposed to let loose with an excited yippee! But since I care about the same for the Dominators as I do for the Legionnaires, I was just saddened by their complete failure.

One more issue of Legion of Super-Heroes before I can get back to reading one issue of each title at a time! Yay! No more getting completely burned out by one stupid, lousy, boring, uninterested comic book! I think I'll drop Legion of Super-heroes down one rank out of spite for wasting my time.

Legion of Super-Heroes #2

Superman Lite to the rescue!

Here's a shot of the first page of Issue #2:

Phantom Girl's real name is Tiny Wazoo!

When I first saw this page, I thought, "Fuck! I have to learn more Legionnaires!" And then I realized they were just recapping everyone's names. Well, at least the creative team realizes there are too many Goddamned characters in this comic book! I'm sure the Legionnaire fanbois opened this comic up and snorted at the text boxes, "Duh! Of course that's Phantom Girl!" I, for one, thank the creative team for expecting me to never remember who any of these characters are.

All of those Legionnaires on that page instantly get their asses handed to them by the Daxamite. Daxamites are basically Kryptonians. I don't know what the differences are except the planet that they come from. And the other Legionnaires have maybe one power each and they're all pretty silly and crappy. The only one who doesn't get the shit beat out of her is Phantom Girl because her power is to hide from things. But I'm sure Daxamites have that X-Ray vision bullshit so he'll find her pretty soon. Even though if her power to be invisible isn't a very good power if it only bends light visible to humans. Especially since the Legionnaires are an intergalactic police force. She should really bend all light across the entire spectrum to keep from being seen. Maybe she can and the Daxamite will use some other great power to find her, like his Super Breath or his Super Hearing! Oh yeah! That's it!

Bullshit bullshit bullshit!

Back in the Time Lab (probably just like a college computer lab where everyone is wasting time playing computer games), Brainiac 5 makes up some stupid crap about how the time stream has changed due to an even in the past that somehow didn't change the way the time stream worked in the 31st Century until September 3011. See how that doesn't make sense? Everyone sees how that doesn't make sense, right? RIGHT?! The clock is not always ticking in San Dimas! The clock has tocked.

I think the DCnU concept of time is just everyone from across all time shoved into one tiny room as they kick and elbow each other to make more space for themselves. But not just everybody is in that room! Every single version of everybody is in that room! And sometimes Flash decides to kick himself in the balls and then everything breaks down as 'kicked in the balls' Flash pings around the room in pain while kicking every other single person in the universe in the balls (or the vagina) at the same time! And that's how the New 52 happened!

Anyway, Brainiac 5 thinks he can do something about it. Ha! Good luck! It's not like you're Ambush Bug or something.

Back on whatever planet they were on that sounded like a Greek Dessert, the Daxamite is trying to get the Legionnaires to sell out Phantom Girl. I don't know how he thinks they would know where she is! Not one of them is named See Invisibility Lad. But Ultra Boy does reveal a key difference between Daxamites and Kryptonians! Daxamites are killed by lead! Yes. Heavy metals poison them. No wonder they never caught on! At least Superman's weakness was to something that barely existed.

Phantom Girl is hiding somewhere mysterious and lead shrouded. She says the Daxamite won't have the imagination to look down. What does that mean? Oh! Phantom Girl's power is Intangibility not Invisibility! My error! So she must have gone all incorporeal and sunk down into the ground to hide. She also alerted the other Legionnaires with her Flight Ring Emergency Beacon. I'm sure it has a proper name but I don't know it.

Brainiac 5 has received the signal and sent Mon El to rescue the Legionnaires. That's because Mon El is also a Daxamite. He has some kind of immunization to Lead Poisoning, so he's better than Superman even. They also send Element Lad and Cosmic Boy because Element Lad, apparently, also has the power defeat a Daxamite. I guess they send Cosmic Boy to navigate to Panoptes.

Polar Boy? Is the writer just making them up as he goes?

Meanwhile, at the Graveyard of Super Heroes, Polar Boy hits on Comet Girl. "Oh, the light is so beautiful amongst the corpses and the crying."

And then Mon El arrives to save the day and things really get homoerotic!

And then the penis ships arrive!

Hey! This scene reminds me of a scene from The Galactic Hero Corps zine my friends and I put out in the mid-nineties! It was from a story called Darkest Day and this scene was illustrated by Daniel Justice.

I think the Legion picture is more phallic.

The Legion of Super-heroes comic was pretty much what I expected. No worse or no better. But The Galactic Hero Corp zine is hilarious! If anybody wants a set, I've got lots of left overs with various artists. Issue Zero is even done by Dan Santat, the creator of the Disney cartoon, The Replacements. Yeah, I know people and shit.

I mean, I like, you know, used to know some people. A few guys. Here and there. Sort of.

Legion Lost #4

But found by who? Charles Widmore?

This issue is from Dawnstar's point of view. She's currently in Earth orbit trying to track down Doctor Scanlon and other Hypersapiens. Hypersapien just sounds like another name for Toddler, like Ankle Biter and Mommy's Little Accident.

Tellus, the telepath, has also sensed another threat to Legion in his search for Hypersapiens. An organization that is keeping an eye on weirdos and cosmic threats and is probably behind the guns on the cover of this issue.

You can tell they're high tech by the free-floating computer screens. I hate that sci-fi trope. We'll have flying cars before those stupid useless things!

Thinking about future technology and how it changes storytelling had me thinking about the iPad. More so than smart phones (even though they essentially can do the same things), the iPad (and its like. I use iPad in the same way we use the term 'Kleenex' and 'Dumpster) will take the place of the Information Techie Character (like Wade Load from Kim Possible. I had to look up his last name. Man, that's insulting!) that is always sitting alone in some room doling out information to teams via their earpieces as he looks up data and monitors security cameras. Now that guy can be part of the on-site team monitoring his iPad! It's not as critical a change in storytelling as cell phones made but it's an interesting development. Can you imagine trying to do X-Files before cell phones? Try watching the television series Wiseguy now and laugh how he has to constantly find a fucking payphone to call Lifeguard. Although having a cell phone while deep undercover is probably a liability, so he'd probably have to do that anyway.

But floating intangible computer monitors are all just stupid big budget movie eye candy crap. I don't want to be able to see through the thing I'm looking at being distracted by interns walking past my Youtube video I'm trying to watch! If people are trying to develop that technology, just stop. Stop right now and get back to the flying car so we can have lots and lots and lots of mid-air pile-ups!

What I'm learning from Dawnstar's narration is that she's boring. Worst date ever. She'd have trouble deciding on an item from the menu because she'd want it to be the perfect thing in the context of the environment and circumstances. But she'd also worry about what others might think of her choice. And then she'd second guess herself the whole time she's eating it because she has to be perfect but doesn't have the confidence to act. And forget anything happening after the meal!

Dawnstar claims she has the same confidence as the other members of the team but I don't see it. If she did, she wouldn't beat herself up when a decision she made didn't turn out exactly how she'd expected. And that's the problem. She expects the best. The others hope for the best. When they don't get it, they try again or learn. Dawnstar acts as if she won't even try if she can't be assured of getting it right.

But you know, if they're setting up this attitude in the Narration Boxes early in this issue, I bet she does something unexpected and crazy and risky by the end!

See?! Even Wildfire is foreshadowing her coming irrationality! I think that's Wildfire speaking. He's so tiny!

Timber Wolf and Wildfire and the other guy eventually track down the Hypersapien that is part Chameleon Girl. But when they find her, she's sleeping with a dart in her back. Not a pub dart but a tranquilizer dart! She's been taken down by the...

Haven't I seen these guys before? What comic book was that? Oh yeah! Dungeon Module S2--White Plume Mountain!

The Black Razors? Really. I'm reading too many comic books because I'm pretty sure these guys made an appearance in another comic. Was it Grifter or Voodoo? Checking with the internet, it tells me it was Voodoo! It's these kinds of things I'm supposed to be remembering from month to month! I'm glad to see some of it is sticking. But the blog is to fill the gaps in my memory so that when it's time to read Voodoo #5, I'll reread the past blogs for a quick refresher before reading the next issue. Much better than relying on my stupid brain! Although I have to wade through all the lies I made up and all the photoshopped images I created to figure out what actually happened. Stupid whimsicle entries.

Dawnstar and Telepathic Space Fish finally track down Alastor. And Dawnstar actually acts instead of thinking about it for three hours.

Which results in...

Whoops! That's Alastor. And Alastor. And Alastor.

I'm a big bored by this comic. I just don't care about the characters at all! Apparently Dawnstar and Wildfire have some sort of romantic thing going on but it hasn't been shown in any way at all. It's just been mentioned off-hand how he can't touch her because he's pure energy. And the big telepathic fish thing just speaks staccato sentences. And Timber Wolf runs amok and does whatever he wants. And I don't even know the name of the other guy who flies via sound waves! But at least this comic book only has five or six characters I don't care about. Now I'm about to go read Legion of Super-Heroes which has an infinite amount of Lads, Boys, Kids, and Girls I couldn't give a fuck about!

Legion Lost #3

Red Rage is another human infected with the pathogen. Duh.

Issue #3 is narrated by Timber Wolf. Or Lone Wolf. This isn't a surprise because he's been full of anger throughout the last two comics and now this one is called Red Rage. Even now, he's thinking about being angry and how he would love to take it out on someone.

Their headquarters is a Westward Ho motel.

Let's reexamine the Time Bubble explosion from the first issue. After it exploded, Timber Wolf said that he could smell (or taste. Ew) the DNA of Gates and Chameleon Girl who disappeared in the disaster. But that doesn't necessarily mean that they're dead! Maybe just one ear was blown off or a thumb or perhaps they both simply lost all of their hair. My guess is that they gated away somewhere far away, with Alastor, and now can't get back to Red Lake Falls. Perhaps Gate was severely injured. Or maybe Alastor is keeping them hostage. Or maybe, since the explosion was in a Time Bubble, they just all ended up in another time. I'm pretty sure it's one of those things and that they're not actually dead.

Timber Wolf is not content to stay in the motel. The others have projects they can work on while inside but Timber Wolf wants to hunt. The others want him to stay put since they don't know if he's infected with the pathogen and if he'll infect others by leaving. But then they catch the local news.

Ghost #2 is found!

It looks like Timber Wolf has found something to do! Also, are these the only Legion of Super-hero heroes that don't have Lad or Girl or Boy tacked on to the end of their name? I think Chameleon Girl who was supposedly killed was the only one with a dumb Legion name. Maybe that means this comic book is more interesting!

"...we never have to try and catch it."

So! Earth does have the resources to track and notice new objects in orbit. And since they can locate something as small as a person that moves so fast that they're praying they never have o catch it, they should be noticing all of the other alien ships and capitalist fortresses hanging around in space as well. Maybe they just flag them all and put out a Super Hero Bulletin so any hero can deal with any possible problem.

Timber Wolf catches up to the new Hypersapien that is hunting and eating other Hypersapiens. He toys with the idea of just letting it go and taking care of their problem for them. That's a great idea! Just let it go around eating all of the infected people and then kill it. Bravo, Timber Wolf! Except, you know, he can't do that. He has to stop it.

What an amazing new power! Shooting off the tips of your fingers!

Timber Wolf realizes he's also been infected by the pathogen. I don't know what alien DNA he gets but it's some kind of alien that can shoot it's talons at high velocity and then regenerate them. There are some weird aliens in the DC Universe.

After Timber Wolf downs the creature with his super talons, it collapses to the ground and cowers. And then Chameleon Girl morphs out of the side of the creature. The creature has been eating other creatures with Durlan DNA in an attempt to bring Chameleon Girl back. Was she possessing the creature and making it kill so that she might live? Sounds a little messed up to me. What right does she have? What makes her more worthy of life than the poor, infected sons of bitches she's making this creature kill? And isn't that interfering a bit much with the past? I guess that interference thing has been let out of the bag at this point. Not much hope of getting out of this without having royally fucked up the previous time line. Maybe I can pretend that they screwed up the universe so badly that Legion of Super-heroes doesn't exist anymore! And then I won't have to read that comic! Yay!

That's it for that issue. Mediocre at best. No change in the rankings.
